"What the EU Has Really Done In Seizing Russian Assets and the Coming War With Russia"

Hello John and Doves,

The EU has made a couple of BIG mistakes....

The information in this You Tube video on the "Light Intel" channel is explosive - Alexander Leo Smith covers the EU freezing Russian BILLIONS and the following fall out - that's only just beginning....

The EU's seizure of Russian assets has backfired.

In this letter I linked Alexander Smith's video on what has actually resulted from the EU's seizing of Russian assets.

Russia has a big bone to pick with CERTAIN European countries.

And I linked an article about "a specialist Russian submarine unit which targets vital undersea infrastructure may be heading to British waters..."

And NATO is preparing for war, all the while saying Russia won't/can't attack for years.

And I linked Jane's Defence website - the buildup for war globally is astounding!

The world is moving towards massive conflict...somewhere, everywhere.

Alexander Smith's Look At What the EU Has Actually Done:

(notes)

"What Europe did with Russian assets has triggered a chain reaction.  A reaction that will reshape the entire global financial system."

"This $105 billion dollar seizure might be one of the biggest strategic blunders in modern financial history."

February 26, 2022 the EU froze approximately $300 billion dollars of Russian central bank reserves.  "This was unprecedented.  Never before had Western nations seized the sovereign assets of a major global power.  Not during the Cold War.  Not during any previous conflict.  This was a new weapon.  A financial nuclear option.  And Europe pulled the trigger.  For two long years those assets set frozen in European banks...Inaccessible to Moscow."

"During that time, Europe debated endlessly.  What should we do with money?  Can we legally confiscate it?  Should we return it as part of a peace deal?...The debates went on for months....Meanwhile the world watched."

"Every central bank on Earth was paying attention.  Every finance ministry was taking notes.  Because everyone understood that this was not just about Russia.  This was about setting a precedent."

In May of 2024, Europe decided not to confiscate the principal amount - probably too legally risky.  "Too politically explosive."  So they seized the interest earnings of approximately $3 billion per year.  "Fifteen billion dollars accumulated so far.  They would transfer this money directly to Ukraine as military aid."

When Smith heard about the EU's decision - he "knew immediately it was catastrophic."  This can't happen without a response.  The EU "failed to understand, there is no middle grand in financial warfare."  Europe wanted to punish Russia but at the same time 'appearing to respect international law.'  "They failed at both."

Russian response, that "changes absolutely everything":  "Within 48 hours of the EU announcement Moscow issued a decree:  Any European company with assets inside Russia was now subject to mirror retaliation.  If the EU was seizing $15 billion dollars in accumulated Russian assets and interest, Russia would seize an equivalent value in European holdings."

"The list of vulnerable European companies is absolutely staggering."  Volks Wagons has $3.5 billion dollars in Russian assets.  Raiffeisen bank has $2.8 billion dollars.  Societe Generale (top European bank), Shell, Unilever, British Petroleum, etc.  The total European exposure inside Russia is over $200 billon dollars.  Russia is targeting the exact amount the EU has taken.

The fallout in Europe:  "European governments are panicking because their biggest corporations are screaming at them.  Volkswagen can't afford to loose 3.5 billion dollars.  Raiffeisen (one of the largest banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe) would face potential insolvency."  These are' massive corporations with millions of shareholders and hundreds of thousands of employees', and "they have powerful political connections that reach into every European capital."  The European governments are now trapped - "They took Russian state assets to fund Ukraine's defense."  And now "their own private sector is being sacrificed to pay for that decision."

The companies are now demanding that the EU governments make a deal with Moscow.  "They are lobbying furiously, threatening to pull out of countries that pushed for sanctions."  The EU federation is "cracking".

"This is economic warfare at the highest level."  And Russia is specifically targeting companies from countries that pushed hardest for asset confiscation.  German companies.  French companies.  Austrian companies."

Countries that didn't push for sanctions against Russia have been left "untouched" (like Hungary).  This is creating devastating division inside the EU.  What Russia has done is "strategic genius in action."

"Russia is not fighting Europe as a unified block.  They are exploiting the natural cracks and fissures.  Turning member states against each other.  Setting national interests against collective solidarity.  And the strategy is working perfectly.  Europe's united front is crumbling.  And every day the pressure from corporations grows stronger."

What this means for the broader global financial system:  "For 75 years the Western financial system operated on one fundamental principle.  Property rights are sacred and inviolable."  Governments can not take your assets for political reasons. This principle died in February 2022/May 2024.  "Now every central bank on Earth is asking the same question, if they did this to Russia, can they do it to us?  And the answer is obviously yes.  If Western nations can seize the assets of a nuclear armed permanent Security Council member, they can seize anyone's assets.  No one is safe."

Alexander Smith said that he has "spoken personally with central bank governors from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Every single one is conducting urgent reviews of their reserve holdings.  Every single central bank is now asking how much of our national wealth is vulnerable to Western seizure.  And the answer terrifies them."  Most central banks hold most of their reserves in dollars and euros in Western banks - "All of this is potentially vulnerable if geopolitics shift."

So what are these central banks doing?  "They are diversifying quietly...They are reducing dollar and euro holdings.  They are increasing gold reserves "at the fastest pace in decades."  "They are building payment systems that completely bypass Western financial infrastructure.  This is the real cost of the asset seizure.  Not the $105 billion dollars that Europe take from Russia but the trillions of dollars in central bank reserves that will leave Western jurisdictions over the next decade.  "They know that Western assets are not safe.  Property rights are conditional.  Geopolitics trumps everything."

Right now:

Saudi Arabia is actively negotiating yuan denominated oil sales with China. The petrodollar system is being dismantled.

The UAE is building gold backed settlement systems for international trade.

India is trading with Russia using rupees.

Brazil is trading with China in their respective currencies.

Every month, more and more trade is occurring outside the dollar system.  More and more central banks are diversifying away from Western assets.  They are pulling away from dependence on NYC and London.

Europe thought they were punishing Russia for their aggression against Ukraine - but they actually increased the decline of Western financial dominance.  "The 15 billion dollars that Europe is seizing from Russian interest payments will not change the outcome in Ukraine.  Three billion dollars per year in military aid provides weapons and ammunition to Ukraine - "but it's not strategically decisive."  Russia's military budget exceeds 100 billion dollars annually.

Europe has "sacrificed the credibility of their entire financial system.  They have undermined 75 years of property rights precedent.  They have accelerated the flight of capital from Western jurisdictions.  All for a tactical advantage that will not determine the war's outcome.  This is strategic incompetence on a truly historic scale."  This will result in strategic catastrophe.

Russia's economy is massive.  Russia has shown that financial warfare can be countered.  Asset seizures will result in retaliation.  They freeze your assets, you freeze theirs.  If they seize your property, you seize theirs.

"The weapon that seemed so powerful can be turned around and pointed back.  This realization destroys the West's primary non-military leverage over other nations.  For decades the threat of financial sanctions was enough to bring countries into line."  Now, Russia has shown you can fight back against financial aggression.   The weapon of "sanctions" has become useless.

This is a financial precedent that Europe has set - the damage has been done.  "Every future international conflict will result in asset seizures.  Every dispute will escalate to financial warfare.  Every country will build defensive systems against Western financial power.  And Western financial centers will be the biggest losers."

'London, NYC and Frankfurt became global financial centers offered safety, neutral jurisdiction, rule of law, property protection.  But if the UK can freeze assets, if the EU can seize interest payments, if the US can weaponize the entire banking system, then these cities are no longer neutral.  They are weapons.'

Other financial centers are growing - Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong.  They offer 'safety' - and capital is flowing in their direction.  China is investing in Singapore.  Russia is investing in Dubai.  Middle Eastern sovereign wealth is diversifying away from London.  "The geography of global finance is shifting dramatically."

"You can win the moral argument today, and loose the financial war tomorrow.   The West weaponized its financial system for moral reasons." Russia responded.  "In the long run strategy always defeats morality."

India purchasing Russian oil is protecting its energy security.  Saudi Arabia selling oil in yuan is diversifying geopolitical risk.

"Europe forced the world to choose between morality and national self interest.  Most countries chose self interest."  They have "populations to feed and economies to run."

Russia showed that 'the era of Western financial hegemony is ending.  Not with submission.  But with retaliation."  "Empires overreach.  They weaponize their greatest strengths.  They assume the their power is permanent and unchallengeable...Europe thought they were punishing Russia.  Instead it has punished itself."

"The $105 billion dollar seizure will be remembered not as the moment Europe stood firm but as the moment it broke the system that made European wealth possible."

Russian Sub to UK Waters?

"A specialist Russian submarine unit which targets vital undersea infrastructure may be heading to British waters, the head of the Navy has warned."

"On December 4, Defence Secretary John Healey unveiled a new multi-million pound high-tech force targeting the Russian subs that threaten undersea infrastructure.  Atlantic Bastion will involve Royal Navy warships and aircraft working alongside autonomous vehicles and AI technology to stop enemies from damaging telecommunications cables and oil pipelines.  The government has said Russian activity off the British coast has increased by 30% over the past two years, with the Yantar ship seen twice in 2025."

"Last month, a report from Parliament's Defense Committee said the UK "lacks a plan for defending the homeland and overseas territory.  The committee, chaired by Labour MP Tan Dhesi, blasted the government's lack of movement on defence matters....a proposed Defence Readiness Bill has yet to be written."

This article is dated December 24, 2025:  Seems NATO/Europe is always 'responding' and not coming up with their own fancy subs and sophisticated undersea nuclear platforms.  Constantly chasing the defensive position isn't a survival plan - it's just a feeble attempt to try and 'catch up'.  Europe is woefully prepared for war with Russia.  President Trump 'sees the writing on the wall.'

NATO War With Russia?

And this article:  We are told that the West can not maintain a conflict with Russia "for any length of time."
Also, it's noted in the article that "systemic challenges" are posed by China - as it build up its military in the Arctic and partners with Russia.  President Trump recently said that "Europe faces civilizational erasure."

Countries in the EU only spend 2% of GDP on defense.  They hope to increase this by 5% in 2035 - probably much, much too late.  This is a piddly amount when they are poking the Bear and trying to provoke a war with Russia.  This is insanity.  They are warning their people of 'fighting a war like their grandparents fought' yet they are poorly prepared for any conflict with Russia.

This article is dated December 24, 2025:

Europe isn't sure how the U.S. would respond to war with Russia - a war they are pushing for. "In Europe, this anxiety sits atop a deeper fear:  that the American government, distracted by domestic politics and tempted by retrenchment, might soon reduce its presence or attach conditions to its role in Europe's defense..."

Europe falls way short of Russia in terms of nuclear weapons.

Why Are So Many Leaders Warning Of War With Russia?

Some are saying war with Russia in 2029 - with Germany as the NATO "staging ground".

We read that NATO is warning of "Russia could be militarily capable of attacking the alliance within five years."   Some think Russia won't or can't attack NATO until they 'rebuild from the Ukraine war'.

So why is NATO building up troops, defensive works, etc. NOW??  Why are they telling their people to get prepared for war NOW?

The 'year of war' with Russia keeps changing:  This article has 2027.

Seems the whole world is preparing for war - procuring weapons systems, ships, aircraft, munitions, conducting exercises, etc.

Conclusion:

I doubt Russia is going to wait around 'years' while NATO 'arms itself' and prepares for war with Russia in 20??!  A 2% or even 5% GDP for war spending is pretty pitiful - IF you think war is coming.  Maybe Europe thinks the next war will go nuclear anyway...so what's the point?

While the West is 'saying' Russia won't or can't attack for years (because of military asset depletion from the Ukraine war), they are telling their people to prepare NOW.  They are moving military assets to the East into Russian bordering countries NOW.  They are building up military assets NOW.  They are making military plans NOW.  Pretty futile moves against a nuclear super power.

It certainly doesn't look like 'war with Russia' is years away.

And the financial control of the West is being diminished daily.  And the U.S. dollar is being chipped away at with inflation and countries are moving away from the 'petrodollar'.  The collapse of the West as a financial super power is happening now.

And with some 10,000 nuclear weapons - miscalculations due to lack of financial trust/safety could be catastrophic.

The whole world will be caught up in what's coming.  IF that's on the divine timeline.  We are hopeful the Rapture comes first!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Maranatha!
