Zechariah 11:17 says the following:
“Woe to the sham shepherd that leaveth the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm and upon his RIGHT EYE; his arm shall be clean dried up, and his RIGHT EYE shall be utterly darkened.”
Jesus alludes to the fact that light in the eye/s or lack of it is connected to dark spirits within a person in this verse:
The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Matthew 6:22
