"Blessed Christmas!"

Dear John and all the wonderful, thoughtful, blessed Doves who grace this page. I have never posted before but I have been lurking here for at least 12 years, reading, learning and like you all, praying for His soon return. Recently, I have been so longing for the Blessed Hope, and realizing that because the Father has not actually told us the EXACT time of our "snatching away", that I was going to just have to keep longing and praying for a while. I asked the Lord if He could just give me SOMETHING and to my astonishment, He gave me a poem. I wanted to share it with you all because I know that like me, you are daily watching and waiting for that day when you can lay at the feet of Jesus Christ, worshiping Him face to face, no longer through the veil darkly. I pray this will warm your heart at the season of His first coming. God be with you all.

John, I am just going to attach the poem. I am not sure how else to do this. If there is a better way, please let me know. Thank you for your many years of work!! You are so appreciated, even by us "lurkers".

Thanks, Michaelene!

                                             One Special Day

What was it like on that long ago day when Jesus was born and laid in the hay?

When He breathed his first breath and he cried his first cry did all of creation let out a sigh?

Did the rocks want to shout? Did the trees want to sing?

He is come, he is here, this baby our King.

Did all of the animals meet with their eyes?

And nod in contentment, at last He is nigh.

And what of the waves? Did they dance high with joy?

In worship and praise to the wee tiny boy.

Imagine the sun and the moon and the stars,

Imagine the planets and galaxies far,

Imagine they paused, in their journey and ways

To offer this baby their most joyous praise

Rivers and valleys

The wind and the rain

Must have known He was here

Did they whisper His name?

What was it like on that long ago day when Jesus was born and laid in the hay?

Now I wasn’t there and neither were you

But you know what I’m saying

I’m sure that you do.

There was much more to come, a life still to live

A path to be followed, a life yet to give.

But just for that moment, that one special day

The Lord of Creation...lay a babe in the hay.
