Take this with a grain of salt because I've never heard of it before now. However, if it's true it supports the fact that Jesus is the one speaking to Adam in this passage, because blood and water did flow from his side at the crucifixion. The important part of this is that water is not released unless the body is dead. It's confirmation that Jesus perished on the cross and did not escape as many crazy Muslim people claim.
