I hadn't watched the trailer when I made my other post, but I just watched it and the news was reporting widespread cyber attacks throughout the United States. Seemed very specific and brought to mind Henry Gruver's prophecy (from the 80's--pre cell phone) about being attacked from both coasts by Russia and China via nuclear submarines while noticing the people in the United States "couldn't communicate. the broadcasting towers couldn't warn them"
The X-Files also mention an EMP and Banks cutting off access to accounts and the Simpsons mention an E.M.P. too. For those who aren't familiar with the term, it's an electromagnetic pulse which would render ALL electronics useless.
