Fay,That was a moving letter and a great article.I like what you said:
He chose the Jewish people to use as an example of what happens when we disobey. He chose the Jewish people as an example to show the world what wonderful blessings occur when His word is obeyed.
Which reminds me of:
I Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
When Jesus returns to rescue Jerusalem, he will then conduct the judgment of the sheep and goat nations. It looks like those nations will be judged on how they treated Jesus' brethren according to the flesh. Most of my life, many people used to say & teach that Matthew 25 was about how to be saved by treating your fellow man well.No need for the cross if that was true.I believe that it is a judgment of nations, based on how those nations treated the Jews, including, in particular, during the tribulation.Right now, a lot of nations are beginning to sound like they want to line up on the goat nation side, in regard to the Jews. The very people whom the supercessionists believe are cursed forever, the very people whom the muslims believe are apes and pigs, the very people whom so many would rather see just go away, will be blessed in the kingdom, above all the other people, and their Messiah, which they rejected before, will rescue them, be their King, and will lift them up on high. How will those Gentiles, who survive the tribulation, survive the second advent, and survive the judgment of the sheep and goat nations, think about that?If any still will be prejudiced against the Jews, or jealous of them, during the kingdom, they better not say or do anything about it,since Jesus, the King of the Jews, reigning over the earth as King of Kings, will be ruling with a rod of iron. Why have a rod of iron, unless it may be needed at times, or at least people will be fearful of that, and keep their prejudice to themselves?
