THE SNARE CATCHES THE WORLD BY SURPRISE

The extract below is from Chapter 32 in my local book written in 2014 —The Beast and the False Prophet–the Revival of Radical Islam, and The Snare is mentioned in Chapter 24 in the American version: The Beast and Babylon– the Revival of Radical Islam. WestBow Press, (2017)

The emphasis and underlining was added to the excerpt on Oct. 28, 2023, the day that Israel intensified its ground operation against Hamas in Gaza, called ‘Swords of Iron’ in response to the massacre in Southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, which was brutally carried out by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, who called their invasion ‘Al Aqsa Flood.’

In Luke 21:34-36 Jesus warns about the consequences of not being alert in the end times –

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

It would seem that in speaking to his disciples in this manner, Jesus was aware of the apostasy that would befall his followers in the last-days. Indeed the personal self-control, sacrificial living and missionary zeal prescribed for Christians in New Testament times, has in the 21^st Century, relaxed into an easy-living, self-centred, indulgent and permissive immorality that has no boundaries, and few legal consequences.

In recent years the World, having rejected the teaching and personal morality of the Judeo-Christian commandments in scripture while denigrating any public expression about the pre-eminent God of the Bible, will in the future be ensnared by an imposed and obligatory obeisance to the demands of an unforgiving, life-despising, radical ideology which carries with it dire consequences for those who refuse to accept it.

Obviously, when Jesus referred to the end time Day of the Lord as being like a snare, he was speaking of a “hidden” danger that is unknowingly activated and which catches its prey unawares. This description is illustrative of the way Islamists have migrated into Western nations that have welcomed them gladly in the name of multiculturalism. However, this overt penetration by Muslims into non-Islamic nations has a dark side for Europe, Asia, America, and the Middle East in particular.

An obvious recent example is the way Hamas gained electoral victory in Gaza, and then set about destroying the opposition party Fatah, until Hamas alone ruled the territory. A further example almost succeeded in Egypt with the electoral victory of the Muslim Brotherhood, until they were dispossessed by the Egyptian Army.

As future birth rate demographics alter the balance of power in Europe in favour of Muslims, existing democratic practices and freedoms will be used by radical Islamist forces to penetrate further into the laws governing the land in their quest to Islamize the World and rule it in the name of Allah.

NOW (10 years later) the snare has been sprung… Israel has been caught up in a battle and the snare of world opinion! The tide has turned against Israel for retaliating against Hamas, following the massacre in Southern Israel on October 7, ostensibly because of the ‘humanitarian’ crisis arising in Gaza as a result of Israel’s bombing, but in reality the snare is being tightened around Israel, alienating her from the western allies (US and UK etc.,) that have historically supported Israel.

Today, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian opinion is being vociferously proclaimed in public all over the world: it is propelled by Muslims who have infiltrated western countries, who support Hamas terrorists and blatantly express anti-Semitism through their hatred and harassment of Jews in the streets and on College Campus grounds. Such actions are apparently acceptable to the so-called intelligentsia who are appointed to lead western educational institutions, who cannot even define their own elusive ‘context’ to justify genocidal statements or activities!

Consequently, the Hamas-Israel crisis has every possibility of turning into the Day of the Lord; i.e., the cosmic religious war that is foretold to occur between the followers of Yahweh and the followers of the Islamist Beast and False Prophet (cf. Rev. 17:11–14, below). It is plainly a war initiated by Satan who sends his agents against God’s people, both Jews and Christians! (cf. Rev. 12:13–17; 13:4)

In this instance, the setting up of ‘the snare’ has been implemented through Iran’s long-term plan to eliminate the State of Israel, and weaken the US and western allies. This operation has been kicked into top gear by Iran (i.e., the [Shia] eighth head on the Beast cf. Rev. 17:11), via its multiple proxy anti-Semitic Islamist militia groups (kings without kingdoms) that are already embedded in the Middle East, which Iran has recently affiliated into its ‘Axis of Resistance’ by combining and supporting numerous Sunni and Shiite jihadi terrorist groups, to act against Israel, the United States and western nations. All this, just 44 years after the Iranian Revolution in 1979!

Thus, Christians should consider the Psalm 83 war is imminent; Jesus said …take heed to yourselves… lest that day come on you unexpectedly! The Psalm names the participants in the conflict (devised by Iran), which is effectuated by the ‘non-state’ terrorist groups belonging to the Axis of Resistance. [1] The nationalities participating in the attack are identified in the modern nations below:

A Prayer to Frustrate Conspiracy against Israel

¹ Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
²For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
³They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
⁴They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

⁵For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:

Ishmaelites; (Descendants of Abraham and Hagar = ARABS in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia,Yemen, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine.)

Thus, through the invasion into Southern Israel by Hamas’ Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades to commit brutal atrocities at the Re’im music festival, and genocidal shock-attacks against innocent civilians and children in their kibbutzim: Iran has craftily positioned and set ‘the snare’ to catch Israel’s response and its leaders’ retribution in a zero-sum game; where, even if Israel wins, she will forever bear the vilification and condemnation of the whole world for an existential war she never started—a war that is polarising multitudes into belligerent hatred—which is likely to set the Middle East on fire!

Obviously, Iran is betting on its Axis of Resistance ‘non-state’ terrorist groups to step up their attacks against western interests (ostensibly to support the Palestinians), but in reality to create the chaotic environment that Iran’s Twelver Shia Ayatollahs expect will summon their Mahdi from his occultation for the end-of-days apocalyptic scenario they fervently hope for… to destroy Israel, the Jews and western armies at the battle of Armageddon. out of the mouth of the false prophet, (firstly via the Quranic ideology from Muhammad; and then via the Twelver Shia ideology from Iran).

…which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:14b)

Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame. (Rev. 16:15)

And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew Armageddon. (Rev. 16:16)

Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ (Rev. 16:17)

So, the kings of the earth and of the whole world (Rev. 16:14b above) are Islamist enemies of Israel, who hate God, who are summoned to the battle of that great day, Armageddon! Israel’s enemies make a tumult, and they have taken crafty council together to cut God’s people off from being a nation. They have agreed with one consent, to form a confederacy against God, under the Shia religious and military umbrella of Iran, called ‘Axis of Resistance.’ They are all near neighbours of Israel. It is from within these Muslim nations that modern-day Islamist Jihads have plotted against Israel and Western democratic nations, to take the pastures of God for a possession. (Psalm 83:12)
