"Will he again come
suddenly to the temple, but this time, to
destroy the abomination of desolation, and
perhaps kill any beast worshippers that may
still be hiding there?"
In my opinion, the Third Temple in
Jerusalem containing the abomination of
desolation and anyone inside of it could
very well be destroyed by the giant
earthquake that splits the Mt. of Olives in
half which is directly across from the
Eastern Gate of the Temple Mount where
the Third Temple will be located. This
will happen when the Lord Jesus' feet stand
on the Mt. of Olives. The earthquake could
very well knock the entire structure down or
possibly swallow it up.
Zechariah 14:4, "And his
feet shall stand in
that day upon the mount of
Olives, which is before Jerusalem on
the east, and the mount of
Olives shall cleave in
the midst thereof toward
the east and toward the
west, and there shall be a
very great valley; and
half of the mountain shall
remove toward the north, and
half of it toward the
south. And ye shall flee to the
valley of the mountains; for the
valley of the mountains shall
reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall
flee, like as ye fled from
before the earthquake in the
days of Uzziah king of
Judah: and the LORD my
God shall come, and all the
saints with thee."
