Besides the obvious reasons mentioned in scripture, there is another
extreemple prophetic reason Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
this was where the flocks of Temple sheep were raised for the ritual
blood sacrifices!  When lambs  destined for sacrifice were born, they
were wripped in strips of cloth, or awalling cloths, and put in a
manger full of hay to keep the lamb warm.. The other sheeps breath at
the trought also helped to warm the lamb;;;
   Jesus came as a Passover lamb to be sacrificed for our sins...
