(Jesus remembers, like when we first were saved:)

 

Jeremiah 2:2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.}

 

(We want Jesus to remember these things:)

 

Psalms 25:6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

  7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.

 

Ezekiel 16:60a Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth,

 

Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
 

(Jesus remembers our tears:)

 

Psalms 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

 

(Jesus remembers when we think about him and speak about him:)

 

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

 

(Therefore, how much more should we remember Jesus?)

 

Psalms 70 [title] To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.

 

Psalms 97:12b  and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

 

Psalms 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

  93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

 

Isaiah 26:8b  the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

 

(We should remember when we were first saved:)

 

Hebrews 10:32a But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated,

 

(How can we best do that?

When we are at the Lord’s supper, we remember Jesus, and how he was willingly crucified for us.

We remember that we were lost sinners on our way to hell.

We remember that he sent us the gospel, and we believed that he was crucified, buried, and resurrected.

At the Lord’s supper, while we are remembering Jesus, his body, and his blood, Jesus is remembering us.

This is how we can have the sweetest, closest fellowship with our beloved Savior, that we can have, this side of heaven:)

 

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

 

I Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

  25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
