  21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

 

Psalms 78:11 And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.

 

(So, instead of remembering Jesus saving us, we remembered what it was like before we were saved, the temporary pleasures of sin:)

 

Ezekiel 23:21a Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth,

 

Proverbs 2:17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

 

(However, Jesus never forgot us, and by his Spirit, brought these things to our remembrance, granting us godly sorrow:)

Romans 2:4b  not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

 

Psalms 106:4a Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people:

  12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

  45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

 

(Jesus reminds us that our sins are gone, and that we are secure in him forever:)

 

Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
