"I blew my opportunity to witness to my coworker"

Thursday, I responded to a message that I had heard the night before:
———————————————-
That really was a greatly pertinent message, last night.
If you ever get to preach it anywhere else, I have another illustration for you.
A few years back, a young man started working where I work, named, Chance, who was in his 20’s.
I had talked to him a few times about the LORD, the Bible, and church.
However, I never boldly stepped over the threshold, to address, specifically, the gospel and his eternal soul.
My son-in-law was talking to me about people where I worked, and I told him about Chance.
He said he would pray everyday for Chance’s salvation.
However, shortly thereafter, Chance told us that his wife’s job transferred her, so he had to quit.
I felt horrible that I had not pressed him directly with the gospel.
My son-in-law felt bad too.
Then, earlier this year, he showed up again, as his wife had been transferred back here.
I was very glad, especially since they had him assigned to me, to train him.
I had a second opportunity, now, to do what I should have, sooner.
I talked about how Jesus changed my life, and how I got saved.
I was praying, planning, and preparing to really present the gospel to him directly and to press the urgency of the matter.
Then he and the boss were arguing about something, and suddenly he quit again, and I didn’t see him anymore.
A few minutes ago, I heard that he was in the ICU, and this morning, he passed away.
But hearing that news, today, right after hearing your message, last night, really hit home.
That cannot be a coincidence!

Those of us who are saved will not face the judgment of the great white throne, that judgment is only for those who never were saved.
Maybe the saved will be allowed to witness that judgment of the lost.
If so, then perhaps if Chance died before getting saved, then he’ll be there.
Maybe, just before he would be cast into the lake if fire, he’ll turn around to look at those of us who are witnessing all this.
Then, as he spots me, and locks eyes with me, he may cry out, “Gino! Why didn’t you tell me?”
