I like how you handled the comparison with the tribulation saints.

I have a question regarding the saints under the altar:

Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Is there any possible significance to the souls of these slain martyrs under the altar, pictured, maybe by:

Leviticus 4:7b  and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Leviticus 4:30b  and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.

These martyrs, who trusted in the shed blood of Jesus, were then slain for that very faith.

Did they give back, then, their lives as a freewill, thanksgiving offering, by the believers to Jesus, who had shed his pure blood for those who believed on him?

Jesus' shed blood for the remission of sins was pictured by the blood sacrifice of the old testament offering.

But does the pouring out of the remaining blood at the bottom of the altar in the old testament, have any significance with the souls of the church age martyrs under the altar?

Or have I let my thought process take this a little far?
