My senses were already tingling about the protests in China and this article has my alarm bells clanging. Read the words carefully and note the references to Tiananmen Square. The reference to the Falun Gong movement in the '90's and how this peaceful group terrified the Chinese government. They used horrific force to stamp them out of existence. There has been an "agreement" between the Chinese people and their government since the Tiananmen Square atrocity. Quoting from the article - the Chinese government said....
" We will make you more prosperous and keep society stable and you will let us get on with running the country". Stability and prosperity mean everything to the Chinese because, as they have learned from childhood, theirs has been a history of chaos, poverty and upheaval. The people have trusted their government to make sure that stays in the past"
With these horrendous lockdown measures happening in China, the people are rioting. And who can blame them, Doves? As pointed out in the article - they see thousands and thousands of unmasked, free people, from all over the world, at the football World Cup in Qatar, and cannot understand the situation they find themselves in. It is incomprehensible. We can see some horrendous reaction from the Chinese government, on the horizen. This reminds me of the I Pet Goat 2 clip with the part showing a Chinese tank menacingly bearing down on a peaceful protestor who is waving a white flag. As we all know - the waving of a white flag signals peace and surrender.
The Chinese people desperately need our prayers. May Almighty God grant them strength.
