Luke 21:20-24 shows that Jerusalem is compassed (surrounded) by armies, and the people in Judea are told to flee to the mountains which must mean that the armies will be comimg into Jerusalem; otherwise, why would the Judeans be told to flee to the mountains. These be the days of vengeance and wrath upon these people.

However, during the Gog-Magog war in Ezekiel 38:20-22, the mountains in Israel are thrown down, every man's sword in the armies is against his brother, and the Lord rains down great hailstones, fire & brimstone on them.  Also according to Ezekiel 39:1-6, the Lord turns their armies back, leaves a 6th part of it, and the armies fall on the mountains of Israel.  So the Luke 21:20-24 can't be describing the same thing as Ezekiel 38:20-22 and Ezekiel 39:1-6 because why tell the people in Judea to flee into the mountains where the mountains fall down and where the Gog-Magog armies are defeated and die on the mountains.  It makes no sense.

It is possible that Luke 21:20-24 takes place at the same time as Matthew 24:15-22 and Mark 13:14 when the Judeans are told to flee into the mountains when they see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place which begins the great tribulation period of 1,260 days when the Antichrist reigns from Jerusalem and the image of the Beast is set up to be worshipped.
