You and Greg A. are suggesting that Jesus’ atoning sacrifice is somehow in adequate and requires works, “worthy works”.   You are subjecting Christians to the dispensation of Daniel’s 70^th week.  This is patent error.

 

Ephesians 2:8-9 state:

⁸ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Your view which requires Christians to be “accounted worthy” is WORKS.   Your view contradicts the doctrine of salvation by grace alone.

Luke 21, like Matthew 24 speaks to the time of Jacob’s Trouble, or Daniel’s 70^th week.  The Matthew 25 parable has nothing to do with Christians. 

May I suggest you purchase a small pamphlet which explains, in 100 pages, how to understand and “rightly divide” the Scriptures, particularly the four gospels.

There will be no true Christians on planet Earth following the Resurrection/Rapture event described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17.

What is a true Christian? 

1.  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19)
2. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)  

Two types of condemnation, temporary and eternal.  Paul is speaking about eternal condemnation in this verse.

3. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (John 5:40)
4. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. (John 8:45)
5. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Perhaps you have believed that someone is a Christian, who in fact is not.  

6.  Those “so called” Christians who embrace darkness,  ^“…. with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11)

The blood of Jesus covers all sin and no man make add to or detract from His atoning gift to all who would believe that He is the Resurrection and the Life:  1 Corinthians 15:1-19……..

I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Restated………Paul says in Romans 10:9-10:

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
