A WATER PROBLEM &

THE COMING OF CHRIST

    “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars: and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring,” Luke 21:25.

INTRODUCTION

    This Scripture text exactly describes the situation on the earth as it is today.  There are, and have been for some time now, “signs” in the heavens, and they are still coming.  The nations of the earth are in turmoil, which only gets worse with every passing day.  The word, “perplexity” literally means, “no way out; no solution.”  Strong’s No. 640.

    The Greek word translated as “stars” in this Scripture is the word, “astron,” an extension of the word, “aster.”  Strong’s No. 792 and 798. “astron” is plural, and can refer to an entire constellation in the heavens.  “aster” is the source of our English word, “asteroid.”  My purpose in defining these words will be made clear to our readers in this study.     

    But what about “the sea and the waves roaring” (raging)?  I’m

THE CREATION

    As we look at the earth in Genesis 1:2, it is totally covered with water.  No land sticking up out of the water anywhere.  What an abundance of water!  Can our readers even imagine how much water this was; water to completely cover the land masses on the earth?   So what was God going to do with all of that water in order to provide dry land for man and for the animals and birds He was going to create? 

    We are told in Genesis 1:6-7 that God caused the waters to be separated by a “firmament” (space).  Most of the waters were lifted up into the heavens above the earth.  Only enough water was left on the earth’s surface to supply what would be needed for mankind and other living creatures.  Genesis 1:9-10. 

    This had to be a vast amount of water that was lifted into the heavens above the earth.  Now what did God do with all that water He had removed from the surface of the earth? 

    For the answer to this question, look out into the solar system  at the Planet Saturn.  There are vast rings of frozen water in space circling the Planet Saturn.  Those ice rings around Saturn  contain millions (or billions) of gallons of frozen water.   

      So it is highly likely God did the same thing with all the excess water upon the earth.  The Lord lifted into the heavens above the earth, the billions of tons of excess waters that were upon

the earth,  and the waters were frozen into ice rings far out in space above the earth. Some expositors on this subject believe that a canopy of the excess water compleely surrounded the earth.  However, the example the Lord has given us, using the Planet Saturn, is that of ice rings. I personally believe that ice rings in space around the earth, make more logical sense.    Those ice rings obviously remained in place up until the time of the flood in “the days of Noah.” 

THE GREAT FLOOD

    The Scriptures explicitly tell us that after Noah had entered the ark, and the Lord had shut him in, it began to rain.  Up to that time no rain had fallen upon the earth during the previous 1,656 years, and I suspect mankind on the earth at that time did not believe “crazy old Noah” as he preached and warned them that a great flood was coming, 2 Peter 2:5.   

    Yes, during the first 1,656 years of human history, no rain fell upon the earth, Genesis 2:5-6.  It was only after Noah and his family had entered the ark, that the rain began to fall. 

    The rain that fell for forty days and forty nights upon the earth at that time was not a slow gentile rain.  The Hebrew word translated as “rain” in Genesis 7:12 and 8:2, literally means to

rain violently; a deluge of water falling from the skies.  See Strong’s No. 1652 and 1653.  Rain falling from the sky unlike anything we living today have ever seen, and it kept falling for

forty days and forty nights, Genesis 8:2.  The entire surface of the earth was covered by water, to such a depth it reached even above the mountains, Genesis 7:20. 

THE SOURCE OF THE WATER

    Now how was such a rain possible?  Where did all of the water come from?  The answer should be obvious to any serious Bible student. 

    The millions (or billions) of gallons of water God used to bring a flood upon the earth had been stored in the frozen  ice rings in space around the earth.  But how were the frozen ice rings turned back into liquid water?       

    Ah haw!  Here is the point I want our readers to especially notice.  Obviously the Lord brought a great asteroid, or  a comet, or a meteor, or even a wandering planet through space, allowing it to smash into the ice rings and break them up. 

    When this happened the gravitational pull of the earth caused the broken ice to fall towards the earth.  As the broken ice passed through space and into earth’s atmosphere, it heated up and the ice melted.  The result?  A deluge of water falling on the earth for forty days and forty nights.    

    Now looking at the vast oceans and seas on the earth today, how long do our readers think it would take for all this water to be poured out upon the earth in the form of rain?  Keep in mind that preceding the flood, there were no vast oceans and seas

 like we have today.  Such great bodies of water came into existence as a result of the flood. 

TOO MUCH WATER

    Genesis 7:20 clearly states that  the waters of the flood prevailed 15 cubits above the mountains.  This  would have been about 35 feet above the highest mountains on the earth at that time.  Wow!  It would have taken years for all that water to evaporate, so that Noah and his family could emerge from the ark to repopulate the earth.  So once more, what was God going to do with all of this excess water?  He could have placed it back in space again as frozen ice rings, but He didn’t.  So how was this problem of too much water solved? 

    GOD STOPPED THE EARTH!  Yes, I do mean that God literally brought the earth to a screeching halt. 

    Readers, the earth revolves on it’s axis at approximately 1,000 MPH.  24,000 miles around the earth at the equator, and 24 time zones.  That is 1,000 miles per hour that  the earth is spinning on it’s axis. 

    It has been demonstrated in a lab, that when a sphere (a round object) covered with water suddenly stops dead still, the water north of the center (equator) will rush towards the top of the sphere.  The water south of the center (equator) will rush towards the bottom of the sphere.

    This is the only logical explanation for getting rid of the excess waters on the earth following the flood.  God suddenly and momentarily stopped the rotation of the earth on it’s axis.   The waters north of the equator rushed towards the top of the earth, literally piling up, and were instantly frozen in place.   The waters south of the equator rushed to the bottom of the earth, again piling up, and were instantly frozen in place.   Behold, the ice caps at the north and south poles.  All of this would have only required a few minutes for Almighty God to perform, then the earth began to revolve on it’s axis again.   What a mighty God we who are  true believers love and serve. Praise the Lord!    

THE TIMING

    The timing of the flood is of the utmost importance in “rightly dividing” the Word of God setting forth this entire account of the flood. 

    The frozen ice rings in space were obviously the source of the water which fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.  Three times in God’s Word we are told that the flood began the same day Noah entered the ark, and the Lord shut him in, Genesis 7:13-16.  This would have been the final day of the 120 years, and the final says of the seven day warning, Genesis 6:3 and 7:4. 

    Therefore, for Noah to have entered the ark precisely on the same day the flood began, this means that the frozen ice rings in

space were broken up by some object; asteroid, comet, meteor, planet, either on the same day the flood began, or perhaps one or two days before, allowing time for the broken ice rings  to become liquid rain, and begin falling upon the earth.   Considering the distances involved, we are not told how many days, or even hours, it would have taken for the broken ice rings to fall.  But there is no question in my mind, that they were the source of a forty day and night flood. 

STRANGE  “COINCIDENCES”…???

    The Lord Jesus Himself explicitly said, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man,” Luke 17:26; Matthew 24:37. 

    Today we are living in the 120th year, correlating with the 120 year warning given to mankind preceding the flood.  This is it!  This 120th year will end on December 31st at midnight. 

    Preceding the flood Noah was given a seven day warning, Genesis 7:4.  It is exactly seven days from December 25th through December 31st, correlating with the seven day warning given to Noah. 

    At some point, shortly before the flood began on the earth, some space object broke up the ice rings around the earth, causing them to fall as water upon the earth. 

    I have a report laying on my desk as I write. stating that a giant asteroid, twice as large as the Great Pyramid in Egypt, is headed

towards the earth.  The astronomers don’t think it will hit the earth, but claim it will pass very close to the earth.  Readers, this asteroid is traveling at thousands of miles per hour through space.  It is a huge asteroid.  If it was to strike the earth, it would cause terrible damage.  But even if it doesn’t hit, but just passes close to the earth, the clash between the electromagnetic fields, and the gravitational forces, of the asteroid and the earth, may cause earthquakes, storms, tidal waves, and whatever…???

    Oh yes!  When is this giant asteroid projected to come by the earth?  ON DECEMBER 29TH, just two days before the end of this 120th year. 

    Are our readers awake?  Are you listening?  Is this just “coincidence” that all these things correlating with “the days of Noah” are lining up right now at the end of this 120th year? 

    Remember the words of the Lord…….

CONCLUSION

    DECEMBER 29TH is the date.  Two days before the end of this present 120th year.  Are our readers ready?  The Lord Jesus Himself told us to “Watch ye therefore.and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthyto escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man,” Luke 21:36.

    Dear readers, the Lord’s statement is not “worthy,” but rather it is “accounted worthy.”  No man or woman is “worthy” of the great salvation of the Lord.   But by the grace of God, some will be “accounted worthy.” if our readers have truly received Christ as their Savior and Lord, and have had their sins washed away by His precious blood, then and only then will they be “accounted wothy.” Are you…..will you be, one of these whom the Lord Jesus will raise, rescue, and rapture, when He comes.  Give this some serious thought and prayer.  Every reader has been warned…….
