Did you check out the enormous military capability of this airbase? The amount of war-heads etc? This airbase has been well and firmly established in Turkey for a long time. This tells me that it is not a new idea that the USA has always used Turkey. And that they intend to keep on using Turkey. Turkey and the USA have very close ties. Why else has Pres. Trump allowed Turkey to have it's own way in the Middle East? Obama did the exact same. It's a bitter pill to swallow, once one has let the true implications sink in.
