My deepest apologies to John Tng - first and foremost. My posts are all over the place. I write as I discover something new and this creates a lack of cohesion. My apologies to Doves readers as well. On a light note - you should see the state of my notebooks !! Lol.

The mysterious Sign of Jonah that our LORD Jesus spoke of. Recorded in Matthew 12 and Matthew 16. Both seemingly the same - but with a huge difference. Both are in the links below. In Matthew 12, the scribes and Pharisees were demanding a sign from Jesus. As they were in Matthew 16. Our LORD Jesus replied to them - but there are subtle differences between these replies. All words in brackets are mine.

In Matthew 12, Jesus replied to the scribes and Pharisees demand for a sign - "A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for 3 days and 3 nights (suggesting a birth - perhaps?), so the Son of Man will be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth".

Here - Jesus is likening Himself to Jonah as having spent 3 days and 3 nights entombed. Jesus is obviously telling the scribes and Pharisees that He is a messenger - just as Jonah was. Obviously a MUCH bigger and more important messenger - but a messenger, nonetheless. And the sign would be His resurrection from the dead after 3 days and 3 nights. As Jonah survived his 3 days of entombment and came out alive to sound the alarm and spread the message of repentance - so too did our LORD Jesus. Once our LORD rose from the dead and conquered death, He walked the earth for 40 days before ascending. Jonah was directed to inform Nineveh that they had 40 days to repent or risk sudden destruction.

This important message was received and recorded in the pages of scripture.

In Matthew 16:4....Jesus' reply to the Pharisees is repeated (in their demand for a sign) EXCEPT.....Jesus left out the 3 days and 3 nights stuff. After telling them that a wicked generation would only receive the sign of the prophet Jonah - He left. Looking at this with a forensic magnifying glass - this gives two different aspects to our LORD's replies. The 2nd reply, in Matthew 16 seems to indicate the 3 days and 3 nights is only one part of the "sign of Jonah". The other part is the number 40. Nineveh was give 40 days to repent. This is the 2nd aspect of the sign of Jonah.

The number 40, in scripture, denotes a period of testing, trial or probation. See 3rd link below.

Are the 40 months between the American Solar Eclipse of 21st August, 2017 to the Grand Conjunction (Bethlehem Star?) of December 21st, 2020, the end of testing, trial and probation? With the Grand Conjunction happening that day and being likened to a repeat of the Bethlehem Star... could this be the 2nd aspect of a sign from Jonah?

Nineveh repented. This world has not. Destruction is coming.
