"The Covid-19 Vaccines"

Hello John and Doves,

The FDA has approved the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for 'emergency use authorization'.

This technology has never before been used in humans.  At least two human trials on COVID-19 vaccines have been halted due to adverse health issues.

"The Food and Drug Administration on Friday authorized Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine for emergency use, kicking off a massive effort to initially deliver nearly 3 million doses for the vaccine to more than 600 sites nationwide.  The approval comes just a day after the FDA's advisory panel voted 17-4 in favor of approving the vaccines.

Israel should have received their first batch of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine this past week.

Frontline medical workers and residents of long-term facilities will be the first to get the vaccine, and could receive it as early as Monday."  The  CDC said there will be an "active surveillance system" to monitor adverse side effects in these first recipients.

Pfizer has reported their vaccine is 95% effective for adults 18 to 64.  People with immune system problems, people who suffer from severe allergic reaction, or pregnant women could be restricted from receiving the vaccine.

The vaccine needs to be stored at negative 94 degrees Fahrenheit; they will be shipped in deep-freeze 'suitcases'at negative 94 degrees Fahrenheit; these suitcases (called 'pizza boxes' cooled with dry ice) can be shipped to various sites for distribution - pharmacies, outpatient clinics, hospitals, etc.  Dry ice will be delivered to sites that can't store these vaccines at the required temperature.  UPS and FedEx will ship/deliver the vaccine along with vaccine kits (syringes, masks, diluting agent, gloves, etc.)  The people handling and giving the vaccine will need special training.

The Pfizer vaccine uses the new technology for mRNA vaccines - that still has not been approved by the FDA.  mRNA is inserted into the patient via Lipid Nanoparticles (LNP's).

This vaccine has actual genetic information from this SARS-CoV-2 virus - the messenger RNA (mRNA).  This code of genetic information is of the viral spike glycoprotein (S) of this virus.

The Lipid Nanoparticles encase the mRNA and consist of 4 lipids/fats that make the injection sight receptive to absorbing the vaccine.  They are "tiny greasy spheres that protect the mRNA and help it slide inside cells.  These particles are probably around 100 nanometers across.  Curiously, that's about the same size as the coronavirus itself." Also, the lipid used at the highest concentration in the vaccine has a positive charge and the RNA has a negative charge so these two stick together.  The other 3 lipids "are 'helpers' that give structural integrity to the nanoparticles or stop them from clumping."https://www.technologyreview.com/2020/12/09/1013538/what-are-the-ingredients-of-pfizers-covid-19-vaccine/

Four salts are used in the vaccine - one is table salt, potassium chloride.  These salts keep the pH of the vaccine close to that of the human body.

Sucrose is used in the vaccine.  It's job is to cyroprotect the nanoparticles from the cold temperature and prevent them from sticking together.

Pfizer reports that there are no preservatives in their vaccine.  And there are no microchips.

The vaccine is mixed with saline before injection into the patient.

Once the nanoparticles are in the cells, copies of the mRNA are made ending up with multiple copies of the 'spike' genetic code - "to turn a patient's cells into factories that make one particular coronavirus protein".  https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/11/17/935563377/why-does-pfizers-covid-19-vaccine-need-to-be-kept-colder-than-antarctica

The body sees this coronavirus protein as foreign and begins an immune response. "Then, if someone was immunized gets exposed to the coronavirus later on, their body's immune system will be able to fight it off more easily and they're more likely to avoid serious illness."  (quote from above link)

This mRNA is NOT the same as what is in the human body - in the code, Pfizer has substituted some mRNA building blocks that are called 'modified nucleosides' - these keep the body from destroying this foreign RNA when it's injected. mRNA is easily destroyed by enzymes in the body.

The complete 'recipe' for this vaccine is a Pfizer secret.  It is known as BTN162 - Pfizer will change the name to a more 'user friendly' name.

The vaccine will require two doses.

Are there side effects with this vaccine?

During the Pfizer human trial, participants reported headaches, fevers, and hangover-like symptoms.  Also, the UK produced safety instructions; link below:  the vaccine "should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding mothers and children...it is unknown what effect the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine will have on fertility."  "Adverse reactions reported in clinical studies are listed in this section per MedDRA system organ class...

Nervous system disorders:  very common - headache.

Knowing the possible side effects is important.  Medical experts are concerned that Americans won't come back for their second dose after they experience the first dose!

"Medical experts this week urged advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that the agency should warn Americans that the side effects from a COVID-19 vaccine won't be "a walk in the park"...patients will need to be prepared to endure the potentially grueling side effects that come with Pfizer's and Moderna's vaccines - or they won't come back for the necessary second dose..."They are going to know they have a vaccine.  They are probably not going to feel wonderful.  But they've got to come back for that second dose."  "When you do (get the vaccine), it's normal to have some arm soreness or fatigue, some body aches and maybe even a fever.  It sounds like in some of these trials, maybe even having to stay home from work."...volunteers who have participated in the clinical trials have reported experiencing uncomfortable side effects such as high fever, body aches, headaches, and exhaustion."  https://nypost.com/2020/11/25/cdc-should-warn-people-about-covid-19-vaccine-side-effects-experts/
CDC should warn people about COVID-19 vaccine side effects: experts

"States are prioritizing healthcare workers and elderly long-term care residents for the first vaccines.  There are about 21 million healthcare workers in the United States and 3 million nursing home residents.  Most states anticipate they will be able to vaccinate only between 13% to 18% of their healthcare workers with the first distribution...The federal government has said it will continue to sent out millions of doses each week but has not released exact figures...The CDC has laid out a possible framework of three distribution phases, suggesting essential workers and people aged 65 and older as the next priority. ((Note: Pfizer is reporting results on people age 18 to 64.)

Some states have indicated they plan to give essential workers priority after healthcare workers....At least 20 large industries are lobbying states to get their workers classified as essential....Pfizer will make 50 million doses this year - enough to inoculate 25 million people - about half of which would go to the United States.  Pfizer has an agreement with the U.S. government to supply a total of 100 million doses, enough for 50 million people to be vaccinated.  The United States has an option to buy an additional 500 million doses...."  https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/myalgia

I am already hearing about hospitals, healthcare facilities, physician and dentist offices requiring their employees to take this vaccine when it become available.  Last year, my state of Colorado, removed the 'religious' exemption for vaccines; making it very difficult now for someone to opt out.  This does not bode well for the tens of millions of Americans who do not want to take this vaccine.

"Even if the government were stopped from mandating vaccines, think about what "getting back to normal" would look like if private entities required Americans to provide proof of vaccine for so-called normal activities - travel, concerts, churches, retailers, theme parks, theatres, employers - to protect themselves from disease or lawsuits."  https://thefederalist.com/2020/12/07/science-says-im-in-the-back-of-the-covid-vaccine-line-but-government-and-corporations-will-force-me-through-it/

US scientists worry as more say they’ll refuse COVID-19 vaccine

"Only about half of Americans said they would try to get a COVID-19 vaccine once one is available, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS....Health experts have warned that if enough people choose not to get a COVID-19 vaccine, it may keep the US from herd immunity against the coronavirus." https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/05/health/covid-19-vaccine-willingness-cnn-poll-wellness/index.html

It is important to know as much as one can before being getting a particular vaccine - how it works, how it's given, what are the possible side effects, who should not take the vaccine, etc..  And this vaccine is a whole new technology - mRNA and nanoparticles.

What could possibly go wrong?
