John and Doves,Last week I praised a Pastor for facing jail time without fear, because he took a stand in keeping his church OPEN for services during lockdown.
ACTS 5:29"We ought to obey God rather than men"
He will continue to preach the Gospel while in jail.
I failed to mention some glaring errors in his theology that hopefully he will recant while confined to jail time.
He believes that a person cannot lose their salvation. In order for that to happen God would have to take away a person's free will, and we know that God would never violate one's ability to choose. We have free will until our last breath.
I believe that one can lose his or her Salvation."Work out your own Salvation with fear and trembling."Philippians 2:12
Staying under the leadership of the Holy Spirit's direction, guidance and counsel is all we have for a daily compass to get us home to heaven.
Please seeEzekiel 33:13-20v. 18"When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and commiteth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
"But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby."
In other words, it is our last state in life that we are judged by, and not on our past. We have a Blessed HOPE(Titus 2:13),not a blessed guarantee.
Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-29 confirm the fact that our journey isn't over until it is over. The last state of ourselves is the state we are judged by.
Since God is the One who decides our fate, we cannot judge a brother until that time of final judgment.1 Corinthians 4:5"Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord come....."
The Second Error of this minister---which is highly misleading---is that he believes that a person can take the 666MOB(Rev. 13:16--18) and then if they "repent", they can be forgiven. What does he mean by "repent" ?If he means that if that person changes his mind and thenipsy-dipsy, God forgives that person with mercy? What happens next?Does that person keep the mark on his hand and then continues to buy food, but is "sorry" ?
I don't think so. That person who took the 666 MOB must cut off the offending hand and not be tempted again to buy or sell with that 666 MOB.There is no other way to obtain God's forgiveness as we are told inMark 9:43.
I believe that that Pastor will recant those 2 theological errors, based upon His courage that he is now showing.
"I continually discipline those that I love," says Jesus in Rev. 3: 19.
Haven't we all realized by now that the devil targets for extra failures those who try to serve God themost ? Yes.
That is why we must pray hard for our brothers and our sisters who have erred. They are targeted by a ferocious lion, Satan, to be devoured.1 Peter 5:8"Brethren, be sober and watch well. The devil--- who is your enemy--- goes about roaring like a lion, seeking whom he may devour. But you, grounded in the Faith, must face him boldly."
Let's pray for our brother to listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
