I have come to an almost 100% conclusion that the "BOOM" that Natan spoke of as the prelude to Israel being attacked, is the Isaiah 17 prophecy. And I believe it will be Israel that will destroy Damascus. Whether you read the NIV or KJV version of Isaiah 17, it becomes very obvious that Israel destroys Damascus.
"In that day", when Damascus is destroyed, the glory of Jacob will fade. The fat of his body will waste away. Because Israel will be attacked by the nations who will be raging and roaring because of the destruction of Damascus. In that same day, the heathens strong cities - which they left because of the Israelites - will be abandoned and all will be desolation. Almighty God tells Israel that He has allowed this vicious attack because they have forgotten Him. Also, in that same day, the entire world will know that this devastation is by the hand of Almighty God. All will know, without a doubt, that the God of Israel is our Almighty God. Israel will be attacked so severely, there will be very little left. Just a few gleanings.
The raging and roaring nations will attack Israel in the evening. Sudden terror! But, before the morning, they are gone. Because when Almighty God rebukes them, they flee far away.
It all becomes very clear when you read it through. Especially clear when you take Natan's prophecy into account.
Right now, with the restraining influence of the USA out of the way, Israel is pretty much alone. This prophecy of Isaiah 17 is on the horizon.
