The Rapture on Tu b’ Av???
By Carl Worline
January 21 is Tu b' Av (15th of Av), which is the happiest day of the year for Jews. Many have often compared it to America’s Valentine’s Day. Could this be the day of the rapture of the Bride, when God then turns His attention back to the Jewish people?? That would, indeed, certainly be a happy day for the Jewish people. Tu b' Av is also the day that the unmarried maidens dance in the fields to attract a husband (groom). I find it incredibly interesting that this day has a major connection to the customs of a Jewish wedding.
The problem is that Tu b' Av is about 2 weeks past the end of 2018 and there are so many year counts that point directly to 2018 as the year of the rapture. Upon further reflection, this would be in keeping with Matthew Chapter 24 and Chapter 25. Jesus followers asked him directly when He would return. Jesus answer is detailed in Matthew Chapter 24. Matthew Chapter 25 is a continuation of Jesus answer and it is all about the groom being delayed and how some of the virgins who were waiting for him fell asleep and ran out of oil. They were excluded from the wedding feast. In addition to the groom being delayed, I also find it interesting that they were excluded from a "wedding" feast (a major rapture theme).
The Church (Bride of Christ) has often been symbolized by the moon. The moon is a thing of beauty, just like a bride. It does not produce a light of its own, but rather reflects the light of the sun (Son). On January 21st the moon will be full. In addition to being a full moon it will also be a blood moon and at the same time it will be a super moon.
The distance from the earth to the moon is not constant. It becomes closer or farther depending on where it is in its orbit. A super moon happens when the moon is at its closest to the earth. It also appears relatively larger. Super moons are rather rare and so are blood moons. Perhaps this super blood moon is standing out to say “Hey, look at me. This is the one.”
Normally I would say that a blood moon would be a warning sign rather than an event. Therefore, I would not expect the rapture to occur on that day. However, the crucifixion occurred on a blood moon. I see an interesting parallel here. Jesus left the earth on a blood moon and He later returns for His Bride on a blood moon. How appropriate.
January 21st is a Monday. On the late afternoon and evening of January 21 here in the United States it will be the early morning hours of Tuesday in Israel. Jewish tradition holds that this is the traditional time for the groom to arrive unexpectedly to claim His bride. Is there any reason to believe that Jesus would not follow every aspect of every tradition of the Jewish wedding when He returns for His bride???
I have a very strong personal reason to believe that the rapture will happen on the 21st day of some month. In January, 2012, I had a dream in which I believe God showed me not only how He would provide for my wife and I until the rapture, but I sincerely believe that He also gave me a clue as to the timing of the rapture.
This dream was very intense and I had little doubt that it was not only a message from God, but was also answer to my many prayers asking for the date.
Without being told, I instinctively knew that this dream was a clue to rapture timing. The dream was very short. I was doing jumping jacks (a type of exercise) and counting. When the dream started, I was at 16. I counted 16 – 17 – 18 – 19 – 20!!!!! As I progressed each one became louder and more intense. Then I woke up.
This dream had all of God’s proverbial fingerprints on it. I had the dream after many days of intense praying. It happened when I was in a light sleep just before waking. It was profound. I knew exactly what it meant and yet it only had a profound meaning to me.
Here is the meaning: Counting stops on 20 and then the rapture happens. I assume that means the rapture happens on what could be either 20 or 21 and I am more inclined to believe that I should look at 21 instead of 20. I also assume that these numbers refer to the day of a month.
Tu b’ Av for 2019 is January 21st.
I am not a prophet. I am just one of many Watchers on the Wall looking for the rapture. I am also one who is trying to obey Jesus command to us in Revelation 3:3.
Therefore, if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. Revelation 3-3. NKJV
I have been wrong many times in the past. Maybe I am wrong this time as well. We will know very soon now. Nevertheless, January 21, 2019, certainly qualifies a day we should all watch.
