Thank you Harold for your response, I am always open to a
good study in the word of God.
I must ask the question; What do we know according to the
Bible about what hell' is?
Defining hell is important in order to understand the
literal and actual place called Hell in our Bible.
In places like Deuteronomy 32: 22, 24, 35 which is the
first mention of hell in our Bible, we read: For the fire'
"is" kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto
the"lowest hell", and shall consume the earth" with
her increase, and "set on fire the foundation(s) of the
mountain(s)." 24) They shall be burnt with hunger, and
devoured with "burning heat", and with bitter destruction: I
will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the
poison of serpents of the dust. 35) To me belongeth
vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due
time: for the "day" of their calamity is at hand, and the
"things" that come upon them make haste. (Time
frame: Jacob's trouble-end times)
In Revelation 1:18 our Lord said: I am he that liveth, and
was dead; and, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the
"keys" of hell and of "death."
In Revelation chapter 6 we understand these
seals to be " the seven sealed judgments." These
are not the "throne" judgments as we know. But of these
judgments we read in verse 8, The 4th seal, A Pale horse,
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his "name" that
sat on him was "Death", and "Hell" followed with him.
Both these: Death and Hell are capitalized in this verse.
Both are separate entities, both dwell together.
We understand according to the study of Philosophy, and
Science, which teach that we have 5 senses we use to
identify and observe the world around us, these being:
1. Sight
2. Feel
3. Taste
4. Smell
5. Hearing
According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol,
science says that if it is not measured
by these senses, it' does not exist.
Faith' is what science has a problem with.
When we consider that there is such a thing as "heat"; Is
there also such a thing" as Cold?
According to science, they say Yes there is Cold.
But; the truth is there isn't Cold.
We can have lots of heat, even more heat,
superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no
heat. But we don't have Cold. We can hit 458 degrees below
zero which is not heat, but we can't go any further after
that. There is no such thing' as Cold. Cold is only a word
we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure
Cold.
Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the
absence of it.
What about Darkness? Is there such a thing' as darkness?
Science would say Yes; for what is night if there isn't
darkness?
We can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing
light, but if we have no light "constantly," we have
[nothing] and God called it Darkness.
What is my point?
The world works on the primise of duality. It argues
there is Life and Death, A good God and a bad God. It views
the concept of God as something finite, something we can
measure. Science, the world, can't explain a Thought. It
uses electricity and magnetism, but has never "seen,"
much less fully understood either one. To view Death as the
opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death
cannot "exist" as a substantive "thing." Death is not
the opposite of Life; just the absence of it.
The Link between man and God is Faith.
Therefore when we read about the Pale horse rider having
a name; Death, and Hell followed with him, we
understand that Death is not a substantive thing.
There is no Life in this rider, but Hell, which our
Bible tells us is a substantive thing follows "with"
him.
Now, knowing what Death is not, we look upon what Hell is.
Let us read in Mark 9 beginning at verse 42. And whosoever
shall offend one of these little ones "that believe in me,"
it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his
neck, and he were cast into the sea. 43) And if thy hand
offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into
Life' maimed, than having two hands to "go into hell," [into
fire that never shall be quenched:] Where "their" worm dieth
not, and [the fire is not quenched.] ( 3 times in Mark,
the Lord Jesus said this, in verses 44,46,48)
I do not read anywhere in the scriptures where Hell is
temporary and the Lake of fire is "another place" for the
individuals who stand before the White Throne
judgment of God the Father. Allow me to continue.
I am sure that when Abraham gat up early in the morning
and looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward "all the
land of the plain," and saw the smoke of the country went up
"as smoke of a furnace," it surely looked to him as "a lake
of fire."
We as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are to go before
the Judgment seat of Christ.
We read from Paul in the book of Romans 14:10 But why dost
thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy
brother? for we shall "all" stand before the judgment
seat of Christ. Now verse 9) For to this end Christ
both DIED, and ROSE, and REVIVED, that he might be Lord both
of "the Dead" and "Living." Now verse 11) For it is written,
As I Live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow To Me', and
every tongue shall confess to God." So then every one of us
shall give account of himself to God.
(Whatsoever is not of Faith is sin. Romans 14:23)
Psalms 1:5 Therefore the [ungodly] shall not stand in the
judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
2 Corinthians 4:18 While "we look not at things which are
seen", but "at the things which are not seen:" for the
things which are seen "are temporal;" but the things which
are NOT seen "are eternal."
( We cannot see hell lest we die in our sin)
2 Corinthians 5: 1-4 For we "know" that if our "earthly
house" of "this" tabernacle were [dissolved] we have a
building of God, an house NOT made with hands, [eternal] in
the heaven(s). For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to
be clothed upon with our house which is "from heaven:' If so
be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we
that are [in] this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not
clothed upon, that "mortality" might be "swallowed up of
LIFE."
Lake Of Fire' is mentioned only 4 times in the whole of
the scriptures. All 4 are in Revelation 19:20,
and 20:10,14,15.
The Beast (a man) and The False Prophet (a man) will be
cast Alive into the Lake of fire. Which tells us their
Body is burned up, but their souls are tormented forever.
NOTE: At this point in time, TIME is no more, and these
things have never happened before.
TIME as we know it stopped in Revelation 10:6
Let us read in Isaiah 5:13-16
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they
have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished,
and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Therefore HELL hath (enlarged) "herself" and opened "her"
mouth "without measure:" and their glory, and their
multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall
(descend into it.) And the "mean man" shall be brought down,
and the "mighty man" shall be humbled, and the eyes of the
lofty shall be humbled:
Our Lord said; Matthew 25:41, 46 Then' shall he say
also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
[into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his
angels:] And these shall go away [into] everlasting
punishment:] but the righteous [into] LIFE eternal.
Hell is not temporary, she has enlarged herself, and as
Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 32:22 For "a" fire IS
kindled "in mine anger," and shall [burn unto the lowest
hell,] and shall consume the earth [with her increase] and
set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
This increase of Hell herself sounds like it could be
the "a" Lake of fire in the last days?
The words " Fire and Brimstone" are mentioned 6/6/6 times in
the whole of scripture. These same words are used in
Revelation 14:10, 20:10, 21:8 concerning [a lake of
fire. and brimstone]
We also find them in the Old Testament in Psalms 11:6 and
Ezekiel 38:22.
The New Testament also in Luke 17:29 But the same "day" that
Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone [from
heaven] and destroyed them all.
We have never seen" Hell, but by Faith we believe it exists.
We know' for a surety, we do not want to go there.
From the beginning of the scriptures, the thing' that
hath been, is that which shall be, and That' which was done,
is that which shall be done, and to this very day, there is
no new thing under the sun. But "a day" is coming when TIME
shall be no more. Revelation 10:6 That there should be TIME
no more.
ON that' day the things which [are] have never
been before, and the things done have never been done
before, and these things, are New things under the sun. It
is called "the time of Jacob's trouble."
Jeremiah 30:7 Alas ! for [that day] is great, so that none
is like it: it is even the Time of Jacob's trouble; but he
shall be saved out of it.
Hell is a her, The earth is a her. Therefore they are
fruitful and multiply.
Hell is not temporary.
Please feel free to show in the scripture that it is. Then I
will believe.
I quote your response:
I suggest to distinguish between "hell" and "the lake of
fire"- according to the bible. They are not identical. Hell
is a temporary place lasting until the great white throne
judgment. unquote
( I believe I have shown proof that Hell is not temporary
and I hope to prove Hell and the Lake of fire are one
and the same))
I read in 2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the
godly "out" of temptation(s), and to reserve the unjust unto
the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are [now,]
by the same "word" are kept [in store, reserved] "unto fire"
against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made, that we "may have
boldness" in the day of judgment: because "as he is," so are
we "in this world."
Jude wrote to us,, "them that are sanctified" by God the
Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
He writes MERCY unto us, and PEACE, and LOVE, to be
multiplied.
He gave all diligence to write to us "of" the common
salvation, BUT it was needful for him (by the Holy
Ghost) to write unto us and EXHORT us that we should
CONTENT for "the Faith" which was once delivered to the
saints.
I ask; Why Mercy, and Peace and Love? Because "in the last
days " even the very elect can be deceived, and the love of
many shall grow cold.
In order for "the love" to grow cold, it must be that
the heat of the fire of our first love of God, is going out.
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against
thee, because thou hast "left" thy first love.
For many sleepy believers in this day and time, Jude felt it
NEEDFUL that he should strike "that' original match, by
putting us in remembrance of the "things" that had been, in
order that we might see that which shall be.
In Revelation 6:8 Hell followed "with" Death. Remember this
is a sealed judgment.
According to Ecclesiastes 1:9
We must ask the question, Has Death ever come, and Hell
followed with him in the past history of our Bible? Yes
Exodus 11: 5,6 At midnight God went out into the midst of
Egypt, and all the firstborn of Egypt Died, save for the
daughter of Pharaoh, because she had taken in Moses. Where
did these souls go? Hell: always follows the wicked and
ungodly.
Revelation 20:14 And Death and Hell were cast into the lake
of fire: this is the Second Death.
I compare "the lake of fire" to that which is written in
Deuteronomy 32:22.
We know for a surety that Hell is on fire, and the fire is
Not quenched, and the worm dieth not.
Death and Hell are to be cast "into" the lake of fire,
and in this; Hell and the lake of fire are become ONE and
the same.
Death is not the opposite of Life, it is the Absence of
Life, therefore there shall be no more Absence and
Life, but Life eternally. Which we, as believers in our Lord
Jesus Christ, are promised..
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and
this mortal shall have put on immortality, "then" shall be
brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is
swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is thy sting? O
Grave, where is thy victory? 1 Cor.15:53-55 and 58.
( Hell is not temporary, and because Hell has enlarged
herself, and I do remember there is the 1/3 of an
[innumerable] number of God's heavenly angels that
will be cast into this lake of fire also. When
Hell and Death are cast into the lake of fire, Hell and the
lake of fire, are ONE and the same)
DEATH is the absence of LIFE
LIFE is the breathe of God.
LIFE is LIGHT ( John 1:4 In him was life; and life was the
light of men.)
DARKNESS is the absence of LIGHT
Isaiah 8:19-22 And when" they shall say unto you, Seek unto
them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep,
and that "mutter:" should not a people seek unto their God?
for the living to the dead? 20) To the Law and to the
Testimony: "if" they speak not according "to this word," it
is because there is NO LIGHT in them. 21) And they shall
pass "through" it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall
come to pass, that when' they shall be hungry, they shall
fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and
look upward. 22) And they shall look unto earth; and behold
"trouble and Darkness, dimness of anguish; and [ they shall
be driven to Darkness. (Last days)
When we look up into the heavens at night and see the
LIGHT of the stars, we can know that these stars are LIFE.
What "kind" of LIFE are these stars? They are angels and
they too are given life from God in the beginning.
( God breathed into the nostrils of man, and man "became a
living soul and the soul of man never dies. It is an
eternal gift of God, which will continue to exist in a
comfortable place or a place of torment(s). (That
which is of God is eternal.) "His breath." God is
spirit. He is separate of all things. He IS.)
The One thing that has many preachers and teachers
baffled is
OUTER DARKNESS. Which is mentioned 3/3/3 times in the book
of Matthew.
Matthew 8:12, 22:13, and 25:30
Please forgive the lengthy response of this letter, but
some things take time to search out. I try to not give a
quick answer; because it gives the idea that I would not
give such an important subject the value it deserves.
Paul wrote to Timothy: Study to "shew thyself" approved
"unto God," a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing "the word of truth."
( not other men, but unto God)
We are to let our yea be yea and our nay, nay; lest we fall
into condemnation.
But I say unto you, That every "idle word" that
man shall speak, they shall give account thereof "in
the day of judgment." Matthew 12:36
I am accountable unto God for the words I have spoken
herein this letter.
As are we all for the words we share here. I try to speak
that of what I know is a surety.
( I am now in a study of The Book of Life. I ask the
question; What book do we hold in our hands? The answer to
that question alone, is very important for the man of God,
and until the man is fully satisfied with his answer to that
question, can he be sure he is eating from the bread of
life. For man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word
that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. God said: Seek ye
out OF the book of the Lord and read. None of these shall
fail, none shall want her mate.) So very important.
Thank you again for the pleasure of this study.
May the Lord bless and keep you always.
