Hello, John and Doves,

It looks like those unbelievers who supposedly worship science above the Word of God do not really love true science at all.

Not only are there "seasons" on this wonderful Earth [even in San Diego, lol], but there are the phenomena of aphelion and perihelion. 

So much for the "perfect distance" theory.

Yes, there is a range of temperatures that life will comfortably tolerate, but there can be no constant distance in any normal [i.e., elliptical] planetary orbit.

The Sun is at one of the two foci of our own Earth's orbit.

Besides all that, it is written,

"And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Colossians 1:17 ESV

NO WORRIES!!

Life, as the Good LORD [YHVH] designed it, is robust.

By the grace of God, He can express His intense displeasure over the proliferation of sin, yet without risk of destroying humanity. 

It is written, 

"In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's chosen ones."
