It became world news when the shooting incident happened this week in San Bernardino and also involved Redlands. (December 2nd)

I was outside our apartment when in the late afternoon a battering-ram military vehicle rode up our uneventful side street. They are awesomely huge.

Our quaint little neighborhood became a massive collection of police from several cities, marshals, sheriffs, FBI etc. as they all descended upon our block and cordoned off streets. 

They had search warrants prepared for entering any and all dwellings in the block, and the drone of 3 helicopters overhead continued for 2 whole days and nights.

Most buildings in our city were in lock-down: schools, hospitals, rest homes etc.
My neighbor children told of how they all wanted to be home from school, and the next day ( Thursday ) half of the classes were empty, understandably.

Life has continued on, but with a sense that this world is changing and now is the time to let people know that the answer is to trust in Jesus and His protection (Psalm 91 )

The Bible forewarned that these would be perilous times;
but it is also a time to trust in the Lord more than ever before.

God gave me an amazing peace through all of this.
"The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him."
Nahum 1:7
 
The result of all this is that there will most likely be gun confiscation in 2016, since the Administration came out and declared that several weeks ago.

Besides praying for the peace of Jerusalem, I make sure now that I pray for the peace of America, and for all children to know and trust Jesus.
