Sherry:  

I wonder about the accuracy of the claim of a new Sabbatical cycle of Rosh Hashanah 2015-2022 ...will begin with a Jubilee Year".   At cursory level of review, I do not think your 2015-16 years line up with the 1967 or 1917 pattern.  Every marker that I look at seems to point to 2017 as the year in which the Daniel 9:27, Time of Jacob's Trouble, commences.  

This would suggest to me that Yom Kippur 2016 commences the Jubilee and that a Feast of Trumpets 2017 would be the outer limit for the Time of Jacob's Trouble/Tribulation with rapture being either prior or simultaneous to Trumpets.  Could the rapture be 10 days prior to Trumpets  ?  Jesus ascended 10 days prior to Pentecost.  Why ?  What is one to understand about that 10 days ? It never leaves my mind.   Is it related to the Jubilee ?  Pentecost is a 50-day count and the Jubilee a 50-year count.  There are 10 days between Trumpets and Atonement.  Perhaps the saved remnant of Jews who are received by the Lord on Atonement complete the Pentecost 50-day/50-year Jubilee together, the two loaves, Jew and Gentile.  Too many numbers, too many possibilities.........!

 

I am in full agreement that the Time of Jacob's Trouble begins in a Jubilee Year.  The second half of Isaiah 61:2, the day of vengeance must align with the first part of verse 2  "the acceptable year of the Lord".

 

The question is when is God's Jubilee year.   We must all agree both the Gregorian and Hebrew calendars have been altered and are probably unreliable for absolute date calculation purposes.  However, I do believe that our sovereign Lord will use current year numbering, altered as it may be, to demonstrate His authority over both calendars.  The Gregorian year 2017 and corresponding Hebrew year 5777 are numerically noteworthy.   Even the use of the Gentile calendar name suggests a playful Lord because gregoreo means "to watch", a charge Jesus gives us today.

 

In the absence of true calendar dates and the alleged up and coming Sabbatical cycle, I would look for biblically important historic patterns.  The only recent ones which come to mind are 1917 and 1967 and of course looking forward 2017.   If you are a student of gematria you might know that the bible phrase "the power of God" has a value of 1967.  The first verse in scripture with a gematria value of 1917 is Genesis 37:26 which states:" And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?"  Even that verse number 37(wisdom) and 26 speak to Yeshua and Elohim (26).  I think God has a message in these years.

 

In 1917 we had Balfour.  In 1967 we had East Jerusalem captured.   Do you think that these two events would happen on Jubilees.  I am inclined to say "yes".    Daniel's Chapter 9 prayers, supplications and pleas with God focused on Jerusalem, the city that bears God's name.  The site of His holy mountain, the sanctuary mount.  Jerusalem is the apple of God's eye. It is His city.  It is important and we should take note.

 

Then there is the matter of the Jubilee count.  Is anyone certain.  We know it begins after 49 years and that the 50th year is the Jubilee, but after that, does the next Jubilee count begin with the 50th year or in the 51st year.  Some say that the Jubilee year is the first year of the next Jubilee cycle.  Israel has not kept Jubilees since the Assyrians disbursed the Northern Kingdom.

 

Then there is Rabbi Judah ben Samuel.  Is he a prophet ?  The test of a prophet is fulfillment.  So far he is looking like a prophet with accuracy right up to 1967.  His cycle count is in 50 year increments.  This is consistent with 1917 and 1967.

 

As to Newton's 49 year theory.  It is interesting although it inverts the year order placing the 49 years prior to the second coming instead of the 434 years of the first coming.  This count appears in verse 26 and speaks to 62 years.  2662 is a palindrome and might suggest a distant argument in support of this inversion proposition.  I think is wrests meaning from scripture at the moment.  I have not given it any serious study.  

 

From my studies in biblical numerics I note the following:  (1) in the Gregorian calendar, I like 2017 because Jesus was lifted up on the 17th day, the ark was lifted up on the 17th day. 17 is the number of lifting up and victory. The rapture will be a 17 event.  I like the fact that Feast of Trumpets is the 1st day of 7th month, another 17.  The 17th triangular number, which by the way has 153 counts. 17(sum) or (153 fish = True Church) suggests a 17 link to the Church.  Extrapolating 153 times 4= 612 which is gematria value for covenant (Dan 9:27)...extrapolating 612 times 2=1224 which is gematria for the "net" that caught the fish in John 21:11.

 

(2) For the Jew in Jacob's trouble,  the Hebrew year 5777 is telling.  I know that in regard to Jesus, the number 5 represents grace and the number 777 is His number.  He is the perfection of salvation.  Daniel's week is all about Israel's salvation.  In fact Jesus says that 70 times 7 represents the perfection of forgiveness (Matt:18:22) and that is the 490 (70X7) years in Daniel which leads up to "everlasting righteousness".  There is more, but I make my point with these examples.  I will address this in detail in a future article for doves.

 

On a side note, look back to November 29, 1947 when the UN voted in favor to partition Palestine and grant the Jew a homeland, I think that we can even consider 1947 as the seminal year for Israel even though she did not become a formal nation until May 14, 1948.  It is instructional that the UN vote was 33 for, 13 against, and 11 abstain.  33 is often represented with God's fulfillment of prophesy, 13 often represents man's rebellion against God, and 11 often represents man in confusion.   2017 will be in the 70th year since Israel was authorized to become a nation.  70 years in exile in Babylon....perhaps another 70 year period counting from 1947 is about to..........???  Gematria values for the number 70 are in such words, as (1) the Temple, (2) for a memorial (see Feast of Trumpets), (3) Secret (Daniel sealed) and (4) proud(judging rebellion).  These all make me think about the Fall Feasts.

 

I would be interested to learn more about Jubilee dates and how we can come to a firm understanding truly knowing which one belongs to the Lord.  If you have done this work it would be really helpful for a deeper understanding.

 

God does not hide His secrets from us, but for us.  It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the honor of Kings to search it out.  Proverbs 25:2.

 

Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, especially His Jubilees.  Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he reveals His secret unto his servants the prophets.  The whole story is in the word of truth, hidden for those whose heart belong to the Most High God !
