HEARING   HIM

         What do we have to do (or NOT do) to HEAR the HOLY SPIRIT
speak to us in the VOICE that is our conscience ? I've pondered this
question for some time of late because I have been advocating a "speaking
relationship" to any and all who would listen/read on Doves and other
venues as we draw near HIS  PROMISE.  In the majority of my missives
I stress the importance of this because I STRONGLY believe it to be
what JESUS wants, to SPEAK with us.  In fact HE SAYS THIS HIMSELF.
HE tells us to SEEK and to KEEP SEEKING and HE WILL ANSWER.
Keep knocking.  So we "knock", even repeatedly, and we don't hear
anything.  At least nothing that we absolutely KNOW is HIM.  What do
we do then?  Well the first thing is to NOT STOP seeking...EVER !
One thing I would suggest is to start talking to HIM as if HE is in the
room with you right there, right then.  This is best done when you are
alone, for obvious reasons. LOL.  Remember HE is OUR FRIEND and
HE is willing to meet with us on those terms.  I know this is TRUE because
HE is my BEST FRIEND and we talk as friends all the time.  HE loves
me enough to indulge me in this and I am so grateful I could cry. I love 
HIM so much !  And through our conversations, I KNOW HE LOVES ME!
HE is so WISE and I'm just a dummy but I love HIM with all my heart.  HE
knows this but I tell HIM all the time anyway.  I know HE likes to hear it.
      Now if you have"knocked" and have for quite awhile and haven't heard
what you know to be HIS VOICE, then I suggest there is something in the
way.  Something standing between you and HIM.  Maybe a little doubt on
your part or you have something in your life that you value above HIM.
Any idol, and it doesn't have to be an object.  It could be an activity, hobby,
relationship or desire that crowds your total commitment HIM.  I've even
heard of an "evil" object being in your house that acts as an impediment to
the HOLY SPIRIT.  I don't know if this is true but why take a chance. Get
rid of anything that might be construed to be evil. Look around, you'll know
it when you see it.  Throw it out, even if Aunty Em gave it to you, get rid of it.
Things that are un-GODLY don't belong in your house, do they?
       I've mentioned this before and I'll suggest it again because it works
for me.  I start my conversation (prayer) with HIM by asking HIM to
forgive me of my sins....all of them, even the ones I'm not aware of and
I really mean it when I ask HIS forgiveness.  I then feel a bit more at ease
and begin my conversation with HIM.  And if HE has any "issues" with
me, HE let's me know during our talk, like things HE thinks I should do (or
cut down on   It's a JOY talking with my BEST FRIEND....the highlight
of my day.  HE strengthens me in my waiting and brightens my outlook.
I couldn't live in this world without HIM !  I hope this helps those seeking
to HEAR.  And remember HE LOVED US FIRST and HE WANTS to
TALK WITH US,  HIS SHEEP.
