To The Doves:
I spend a lot of time watching You Tube videos, and one trend that I find very disturbing is seeing theological debates becoming directed at the person as opposed to the point, and sometimes a complete lack of charity.
Right now three "Hot Topics" are Hyper-grace, Calvinism, and KJV Onlyism. I can't speak with authority on any of these, but I can speak about the way the debates have become un-Christian in terms of sensationalism, personal attacks, questionable evidence, and what seems to me an obsession on all sides to "I am right".
Right now we are near the Lord's coming. While debating issues such as these are a chance to learn and sharpen our faith, what point is there when "self pride" overshadows the discussion. It is pride and the ego that goes to every length, to prove "I am right".
My point simply is that if TRUE believer's are focused on the fact that Jesus Christ shed is blood for our sins, and that we are very privileged to be living in an age of GRACE, the rest isn't quite so important.
Is it not said in scripture that "we all have sinned?". If that is the case, then an obsession, or to argue to prove "I am Right", just doesn't seem fit with what a Christian should aspire to be. Let us stay focused on the lateness of the hour, keep watch, and know that our Master's return is near.
Blessed be the Name of Jesus Christ
Blessed be Jesus Christ now, and forever and ever
