"We Better Act Fast Before Heartless Machines Become Our Masters"

Dear Doves,

My last post explored the threat that exists to humanity from newly deployed robotic
creatures the US Military and DARPA have created. Today, there are thousands of drones
being used as remote control killing machines. Nobody on Earth has utilized more drones
to kill suspected insurgents, terrorists, or innocent civilians than the current POTUS.
(Emphasis mine)

Statistics reveal that drones, even drones flown by 'virtual pilots' are both extremely
deadly and prone to the pratfalls of Murphy's Law. Can anyone answer me why Afghani,
Yemeni and Paki wedding parties are held during the dark of night and almost always hit
by accident? Could it be, because it's well known the USA pays millions of dollars in
compensation to the supposed 'victims' of wedding party tragedies, or because they all
just want to get blown into paradise?

Many readers of classic Sci-Fi novels will recall the many fictional novels written by
Issac Asimov that explore the new robotic reality. He developed some strict rules for robot
deployment and usage after the enormous carnage caused by a fictional robotic civil war.
Many of you have seen Arnold's "Terminator" movies and the pathetic Will Smith's "I Robot"
feature film. Even as fiction, they should give us all a great deal of caution.

Last week, the news broke that both a new and much more capable 'strike drone' and
a battlefield re-supply robots have entered service. Buried deep in one article, it casually
mentioned that the 'strike aircraft' can operate autonomously. For folks that live in my
neighborhood that means attacking without the need of any human decision making before
the bombs, or missiles fall. in the process of taking human life. This new and much more
deadly 'strike drone' joins a long list of already potentially automatic killing machines on the
modern battlefield.

Thus, we are back to Asimov's Three Robotic Laws, which must be enacted by Congress
before the deployment of armed domestic drones. Those military drones already prowl our
skies here at home. The current POTUS has already identified his political opponents as threats
to domestic peace. You know; Christians, veterans, Tea Party members and rich people.

Please contact your elected representatives and ask them about legislation that creates
robotic fail safes and invokes Asimov's Three Laws. The grim future has become our reality.

                                                                   Agape,

                                                                           Michael Curtiss
