THE STORY OF LUCIFER’S FALL AND THE BATTLE OF THE AGES
God
created a beautiful place called Heaven. He created angels and placed
them according their rank. But the most beautiful one of all was called
the Morning Star. He was the highest of all angels, and only God Himself
was higher than him.
God created the angels with free will, and with
this comes the responsibility of making choices. And the first angel
who had to make a choice was the highest angel of all. A thought
suddenly entered into his heart that he can be like God. He had to
make a choice of what to do about this thought. He could dismiss it and
proclaim the Most High as his God. But this beautiful angel started to
think how he could be as God. Something happened in his appearance. He
could not reflect the glory of God as he could before.
All the angels could see the change. The beautiful angel felt
humiliated. There was a time when he could come back in a humble spirit
to Heavenly Father and restore his appearance, but instead this
beautiful angel became angry. He left the presence of God and went to
the northern parts of the heavenly place. There on a big mountain he
started to make plans of becoming a god. He knew that an important part
of being god is to have followers. Then he started to tempt his fellow
angels to follow him. One of the first angels he approached was the
Archangel Michael. He asked him: "is it true that you are stronger than
me? Come and let’s fight and see." This was the trap he prepared for
Michael, because Michael was not sent by God to fight him at that point.
And Michael the archangel did not fall into the deception, but
said:"Let the Lord rebuke you! "
And so this beautiful angel became known as satan, the enemy of God. Satan tempted every angel
in heaven. One third of the angels followed him, but the other angels found strength in the presence of God.
The
battle began against satan and his followers. God Himself threw him out
from the third heaven, and the rest of the fallen angels were cast out
by the force of God’s angels from the third heaven to the second, where
the stars and the moon and the sun are.
And then God created the
Earth in the second heaven. He created new creatures to fill the Earth.
He also created a man He named Adam. He gave to Adam the Garden of Eden
and commanded to him to keep the Garden. Satan was furious, because a
new creation that worshipped God was created in his domain. He knew it
would be a matter of time when he would have to fight for his kingdom
with the new enemy. He decided to take over humanity, through deception
and sin. A snake that was of him and of his nature spoke satan’s words
and was his instrument in the evil plot. The man fell away
from God. Satan became the god of this world and the battle for the
souls of humanity had just begun.
God loved the world, and He sent
His beloved Son, so everybody who believes in Him, would have a chance
to enter into His Heaven. God’s Son started to gather His people, and
His Bride.
Over two thousand years have passed. The battle between
satan and angels of God for peoples’ salvation is still going on. Satan
is continuing to tempt angels and harass them when he has a chance. But
through the resurrection of Yeshua, satan lost the keys of hell and
death.
He is ruthless in his hate. His anger towards God is like
flames of fire that burned his beautiful appearance to the darkness of
his scorched spirit. The fallen angels lost their original look and
began to reflect satan’s darkness.
The appointed time for the
liberation of the second heaven is coming soon. Like the battle for the
Promised Land against the Canaanites, there will
be a battle in the second heaven with the dragon and his angels. And
Michael will cast them down to the earth.
Rev
12:7 And there was war in Heaven. Michael and his angels warring
against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels warred,
Rev 12:8 but did not prevail. Nor was place found for them in Heaven any more.
Rev
12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent called Devil,
and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth,
and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a
great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and
the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser
of our brothers is cast down, who accused them before our God day and
night.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their
testimony. And they did not love their soul until death.
Rev
12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and those tabernacling in them.
Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and in the sea! For the Devil came
down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a little time.
This
war in heaven will be a very historical battle. It will be the Battle
of all ages. Then the stronghold of satan and his entities in the second
heaven will be broken down and the walls of evil will fall down like
the walls of Jericho fell. The angelic army will gain their ground and
defeat the enemy to the earth, satan’s last stronghold. And then there
will be the last battle which is called Armageddon, when the army of
satan will be completely defeated by the King of kings, by the angels,
and by the saints.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and
bound him a thousand years.
Rev 20:3 And he cast him into the
abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the
nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after
that he must be loosed a little time.
And then there will be a time, when satan will have his last attempt to tempt the people on the earth against God.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison.
Rev
20:8 And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four
quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle.
The number of them is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they
went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the
saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven
and devoured them.
Rev
20:10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and
Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
