"Hurva Synagogue"

John, regarding the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem's Old City:  the restoration has been underway
for years.  An article written by Isabel Kershner ran in the New York Times on March 15, 2010,
entitled "Rebuilt Synagogue is Caught in Disputes Over Jersualem."  She wrote "in Damascus,
Khaled Meshal, the exiled leader of the Islamic militant group Hamas, said the synagogue's
dedication signified "the destruction of the Al Aksa Mosque and the building of the temple,"
according to Agence France-Presse."

I saw the Hulda Synagogue when I was in Jerusalem in October 2010.  There is a centuries-old
rabbinical prophecy given in the 18th century by the Vilna Gaon.  According to this prophecy,
the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem, which was built during his day, would be destroyed and
rebuilt twice.  When the Hurva Synagogue was completed for the third time, construction on
the Third Temple would begin.  The synagogue was first destroyed shortly after its construction
(early 1700's) when Muslims tore it down.  It was rebuilt a hundred years later and became the most important Jewish house of worship in the Holy Land, until it was blow to pieces by the Jordanians in Israel's War of Independence in 1948.  So now, it has been completed for the third time.  John, what events we are seeing!  And, may we soon see our beloved Jesus Christ
face to face!  Blessings to you and family.
