"To VL, yes I have received "Do not be afraid" messages!"

You present a wonderful list of when the Lord told various Biblical men and women "Do not be afraid," just before something major was to occur.

I have been receiving that message for several years.  Usually the message happens this way:  I am thinking about a possible bad event which might occur,
usually occurring to myself, but often occurring to many humans including me.  And then I speak aloud the words "Do not be afraid", or sometimes "Do not be afraid" with my name added.

These "Do not be afraid" messages stop me from worrying, even when I am not aware that I was worrying.

Why do I speak these messages aloud, spontaneously, when this happens?  I presume it must be that I am "prophesying", in the broad sense of that word, where someone speaks aloud the Word of the Lord.  This is not so much a word I speak, as a word the Holy Spirit speaks.  The Spirit completely interrupts my thought processes with His voice, speaking through my body.

I don't speak these words aloud to others, except on rare occasions to my grandsons.  When one of the boys seems taken up with some unclear worry, some darkening of his little soul, I have been known to say, out of the Blue, "Do not be afraid."  And this does reach the boys even though I am not sure what is casting a shadow on them.  They seem to be far more relieved than if I gave them a long, rational explanation of why they should stop worrying.

I hope this Word keeps coming.  Yet I can't say when it will come, as it is from the Spirit, which has His own mind.   Holy Spirit stay with us!
