Steve,You are so right about the way the world calls an UNWANTED child a "fetus," but clamors all over itself about a WANTED baby (the child of the royal copy) and refers to this much-expected and wanted baby NEVER AS A FETUS, but already gives it personhood by referring to it as a "child" and a "baby".Also, when Mary and Joseph were awaiting the birth of JESUS, no one (including the angel announcing the conception to Mary) EVER called Jesus a "fetus". Can you imagine Gabriel telling Mary, "ye shall conceive a fetus..." ????The way this world uses LANGUAGE to cover up their filthy, rotten sins is amazing and almost laughable were it not so pathetic! Women about to go through an abortion are told not to worry - what is inside them is merely a shapeless BLOB of tissue, yet women who have gone through an abortion suffer horrible after-effects of depression and GUILT! YES, GUILT! Because God has given us a conscience! They KNOW from their God-given CONSCIENCE that they just committed MURDER and they have to live with that the rest of their lives! ONLY GOD HIMSELF can save them from the horrible guilt by giving them forgiveness. They must accept JESUS as their Savior, confess their sin to HIM and believe he died for them and covered ALL their sins (including abortion) with his pure BLOOD and that he rose again from the dead! Some of these women, not knowing about the wonderful mercy and love of God, end up committing suicide because they cannot forgive themselves or they cannot believe that God will ever forgive them.It's amazing how this world has concocted other useless words to MASK or CLOAK their disgusting sins. Consider the below:
- Queer lifestyle (perversion) - sodomy - now referred to as GAY or "sexual preference" (A word that used to be mean happy, carefree, etc.) Doesn't "gay" lifestyle SOUND so much better than sodomy and perversion? You don't have to "come out of the closet" anymore - after all you have "gay RIGHTS".
- abortion - now referred to as "pro-choice" or a woman's right to CHOOSE (hey stupid! YOU MEAN, choose MURDER, don't you? Isn't that what you REALLY mean???) But doesn't PRO-CHOICE sound SO much more REFINED AND SO MUCH MORE SOOTHING TO THE EARS? And who can feel GUILTY over a word like that? SURELY that can't possibly be a sin (can it?)
- Adultery - has been de-sensitized - now you are not committing adultery, you are simply having an "affair" - now doesn't that SOUND so much BETTER than adultery? I mean "adultery" has a dirty ring to it - but "affair"? Now THAT word just sounds so much more adventurous and modern does it not?
- Fornication - this world has never liked the sound of that word. Now you are not fornicating when you have sex before marriage, you are simply "experimenting" or "sleeping around" or being "intimate" - doesn't that SOUND better than fornicating or committing adultery?
- You are not STEALING - you are LIFTING an object
- You are not LUSTING - you are just having hormonal issues
- You are not lying - you are simply S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g the truth or you are just being "politically correct", right?
- You are not committing IDOLATRY when you bow and kneel in front of idols, you are simply "honoring" who they represent.
- You are not blaspheming God anymore, or taking His NAME in vain, you are simply using "colorful" language.
This world has always found ways to take words that make perfect sense and "de-sensitize" them so that they are less "irritating" to the masses. they have always found a way in every NEW generation to take SINS and re-package them in a new, improved, acceptable FORMAT! They like having their "ears tickled". EXACTLY!ReneP.S. this is also seen in other issues besides the sin issue. For example, people are no longer "retarded," they are just "mentally challenged." If you don't LIKE something, just change your vocabulary. If it SOUNDS better to the ear, it MUST BE better, right?
