"From a Tribal Elder and from a Tribal Woman"

Hello, John and Doves,

From a wise and well-respected

Tribal Elder:

[This was a word from the LORD to me.  I pass it on to the Five Doves, as it may apply.]

Christmas is not all about money

All your problems have been due to worrying, daydreaming, and fantasizing about money.

Had you put the LORD first, you would have sailed through life’s challenges with colors flying full mast.

Instead, you forgot that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Repent, therefore, and turn your life around.  You won’t be rich by any means, but you will prosper.  You will have the LORD’s peace, and you will begin to radiate His love toward others.

Never forget this.  Live it out.  No excuses this time around.

You can never lose by investing in God.  Meanwhile, cherish what you have.  This is the way to praise God.

Tribal Woman:

Her focus is evangelism outreach to the homeless.

"Today" is not the end of the world.

The Word of God says:

12Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.f Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. 13You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. 15Remember what it says:

Today when you hear his voice,

don’t harden your hearts

as Israel did when they rebelled.”g

16And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? 17And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? 18And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? 19So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

Hebrews 3:13-19  NLT

How is it possible to show an unbelieving heart, while still claiming to be a Christian?

If we preach guesses about dates and we are wrong, then we stand in error and not in truth.

Witness this verse:

1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirita of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

1 John 4:1-6  NIV

The world speaks of end times and end dates, but they fail to confess that Jesus has come in the flesh.

When we play with prognostication, we fail to confess Christ crucified.  We are in error.

The cure is to:  Confess, Repent, ask Forgiveness, and Live by Faith.  Anything short of that is simply missing the mark [in a word, “sin”].

No one knows the day and the hour; only the Father knows.

When was the last time you shared with your neighbor about Jesus as the Lamb of God?

Seriously, those who have bought into the idea of guessing dates are like those who buy into an office pool for the Super Bowl.

It is written:

Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

Colossians 2:8  NLT

It is best to stick with what the Word plainly says.

Again, it is written,

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psalm 19:7  KJV

What does the LORD explicitly say about date-setting?

Have you not read:

6So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”

7He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

9After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. 10As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. 11“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

Acts 1:7-11  NLT

Friends, He was addressing the as yet unborn Church.

Therefore, love the LORD your God, family, friends, and church.

Amen.

Baruch Haba BShem Adonai.

~Blessings,
