I agree with you. The Pope. I can fill in some of the blanks. I know what the leopard represents. In the following scriptures, the things in parentheses are my comments.
Concerning the time of the First-Trump Rapture, Rev 17:14 says, "...he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that ARE WITH HIM are called, and chosen, and faithful." Therefore, the first Rapture has just taken place.
There is a Last-Trump Rapture. It takes place on the Day of God's Wrath (Rev. 6:17; 7:14), just before the two asteroids of Rev. 8:8-11 hit Earth.
Of the time right after the first Rapture, Rev 17:10 says, "And there are seven kings (leaders of Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, Holy Roman Empire, Ecclesiastical Roman Empire, and Babylon III): five are fallen, and ONE IS (the Pope, head of the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire), and the other (the False Prophet, head of Babylon III) is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space" (the shortened Great Tribulation).
Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which (at the time of the First-Trump Rapture) have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast" (the False Prophet).
Before we read Rev 13, we need to understand what the sea represents. Rev 17:15 says, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." The sea can have a literal meaning, the Pope comes out of Vatican City, which is in Rome, which is in Italy, a boot sticking out into the Mediterranean Sea, also a double meaning, representing "the Holy See" out of which the Pope comes.
Rev 13:1-10 says, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast (Satan, the great red dragon) rise up out of the sea (nations), having seven heads (as in Rev 17:10) and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns (then this time is after the first Rapture), and upon his heads (all seven) THE NAME (one name) of blasphemy (vilification, evil speaking, i.e., pontifex maximus, that was started by Nimrod at the Tower of Babel, and carried on through all the leaders and the Caesars to the Pope). 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard (Greece, Dan 7:6):, and his feet were as the feet of a bear (Media-Persia, Dan 7:5), and his mouth as the mouth of a lion (Babylon, Dan 7:4) : and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." 3 And I saw ONE OF HIS HEADS (the Holy Roman Empire) as it were (as if it were) wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed (becoming the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire): and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon (Satan) which gave power unto the beast (the Pope): and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? (no one) who is able to make war with him? (no one)5 And there was given unto him (the Pope) a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to CONTINUE (i.e., he is already in office) forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them (the wise virgins) THAT DWELL IN HEAVEN (i.e., the First-Trump Rapture is past). 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints (i.e., the foolish virgins), and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (i.e., he is wooing the Muslims in our days). 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."
How old is Pope Benedict XVI? 85 years old (born April 16, 1927). His age is easy for me to remember, because I was born Dec. 13, 1928.
He has already visited the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to pick out a spot for his throne. The picture made that day is posted above.

In Mat_7:15, Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets (plural), which come to you in sheep's clothing (i.e., wool), but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
In Mat_10:16 Jesus said, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
The Pope's badge of office is the lamb's-wool pallium, the symbol of the jurisdiction delegated to him by the Apostolic See. It is bestowed upon the Pope by the Apostolic See at the time of his coronation. I put pictures above of Pope John Paul and Pope Benedict wearing their lamb's-wool palliums. There are crosses on them.

Who is the first beast who mankind has nicknamed the antichrist?
Let's not speculate who we (mankind) think this entity will be but lets rely only on God's Word and God's descriptions as to the identity of this first beast. God has told us very clearly through His Word who this first beast will be and Barak Obama doesn't even come close to fulfilling God's description. Please read on for the identity of the antichrist.
The average person gets confused and frustrated immediately with the description John the apostle wrote concerning the first beast in Rev.13. They want to throw in the towel as to the identity of this beast after reading the bizarre characteristics God through John uses to describe this beast.
God doesn't want us to throw in the towel but to continue to read the verses in Revelation 17 and elsewhere where He makes things much clearer and interprets these bizarre characteristics. God challenges us to figure out who this beast is by saying....."here is the mind that has wisdom" or, is there anyone out there that is willing dedicate enough time reading My Word to discern the identity of this beast?
First let's list these descriptions or clues to the identity of the first beast (the antichrist) that show up in Rev.13..........
1) This beast rises up out of the sea (literally and figuratively)
2) This beast has seven heads and ten horns and on his horns ten crowns (figuratively)
3) On each of the seven heads is a blasphemous name (figuratively)
4) This beast had the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion (figuratively)
5) John saw one of his seven heads as if it had been mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed (literally)
6) The dragon / Satan gave this beast his power, his throne, and his authority (literally)
7) The whole world marveled at the power of the beast, so they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast and they worshiped the beast (literally)
8) The beast was given great oratory skills speaking great things and also speaking great blasphemies. He was given authority to continue these blasphemies and "smooze" the world with his oratory skills for 42 months or three and one half years. (literally)
9) And / then after 42 months had transpired he opened his mouth and directly blasphemed God, God's Holy name, God's tabernacle, and those who live in heaven (in other words at this point he, the first beast, declared himself to be the one true God)
10) It was then (at the 42 month mark) granted him (from God) to make war with the saints (the two witnesses) and overcome them (he, the first beast) was allowed to kill the two witnesses at this point to prove to the world he was indeed the true God. (For prior to this, in the 42 month ministry of the two witnesses no one was able to injure them)
11) At this time(at the 42 month mark) he was given authority(for the remainder of the 7 year tribulation period) over every tribe, tongue and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
In Rev.17 God clears up the strange descriptions from Rev.13 and revels to us.........
1) that this beast with seven heads and ten horns is directly affiliated or joined with a worldwide organization depicted as drunken harlot woman
2) that the seven heads of this beast represent seven kings but not any seven kings but seven kings affiliated with this worldwide organization of the drunken harlot woman
3) that this woman / worldwide organization is also a great city located on seven mountains or seven hills
4) that all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich attending to the luxury of her lifestyle
5) that this woman / organization adorns (dresses) herself primarily in purple and scarlet, adorns herself with gold, precious stones and pearls and has in her hand a golden cup (chalice) full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
6) that this organization was drunkenly responsible for the deaths of Jesus' followers (untold millions of them in the Middle Ages)
7) that this organization can be linked to merchants of the earth selling it.......gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of precious wood, bronze,iron and marble, and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and flour, fine flour and wheat cattle and sheep, horses and chariots and the bodies and souls of men
8) that one of these seven kings that has been affiliated with this worldwide organization will be the first beast or the antichrist. This beast, this entity, who was alive and a king of this organization, died and will ascend from the bottomless pit to accomplish his evil mission and return to perdition
9) that when John the revelator had his vision of these seven kings of this organization five of them were already dead. The one John was focused on in his vision the sixth was alive but died. The seventh king will reign for a relatively short time. The eighth king who was one of the seven (the sixth) will become the first beast, the antichrist.
10) that the ten horns of the beast represent 10 kings who as yet have no kingdom but will be crowned kings under the reign of the antichrist to do his bidding. They will make war with Jesus and he will defeat them.
11) that the drunken harlot woman not only represents a worldwide organization but also a city built on seven mountains/ hills that will be the world headquarters of the antichrist during his reign over the kings of the earth.
Let's also clear up some other muddy water. Popular belief (put forth by Satan) is that the antichrist is shot in the head, killed, and then miraculously comes back to life. Millions of people have bought this lie and are waiting for this to happen and it's no where near the truth. The related scripture (Rev.13:3) says......"And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed." From Rev.17 God told us that the heads represent kings. So the right interpretation is .........And I saw one of the kings "as if" (looking like) he had been mortally wounded, and his wound that could have proved deadly, was not, and healed.
Has this prophecy of the wounded king already happened and was it the correct king as per God's word?? The answer is yes and yes. John the revelator was focused on the sixth king in Rev.17:10 who would also become the eighth king and the antichrist. Was this king mortally wounded and survived? Yes
I guess it's time to formally introduce these seven kings that represent the seven heads of the beast. These seven kings as we learned above are joined to a worldwide organization which God described in great detail above. As you may have logically concluded by now that organization can be none other than the Roman Catholic Church. A person would be hard pressed to describe the RCC it's location and attributes better than John the revelator did in 90AD before there even was a RCC when he wrote Revelation 17.
At this point people are going to say this can't be right because the Roman Catholic Church is ruled by popes not kings and there have been many more than seven popes over the centuries. What people don't realize is that the RCC the Vatican did not become its own country until 1929. Prior to that the popes ruled the RCC but were not kings. Now since 1929, they hold the title of pope and king of their own country. And yes you guessed it, there have been seven popes / kings of the Vatican State since 1929. The current pope is the seventh and the next pope will be the eighth....becoming the first beast or as we call him the antichrist. John the revelator indicated that the king / pope he was focused on, the sixth, was alive, he died, and is himself also the eighth, one of the seven and will go to perdition.
So who was this sixth pope / king who a likeness of will ascend from the bottomless pit..... be indwelled by Satan.......manifest great lying signs and wonders........exhibit extraordinary oratory skills.........smooze the planet for three and one half years building his alliances with the ten kings to come.........then terrorize the planet for the remainder of the seven year trib period?

God tells us in Rev.13 and Rev.17 that the whole world will marvel (be dumbfounded and speechless) when they see this person (John Paul II) who was alive, died, and yet is seemingly alive again. Rev.17:8
Not to say that this will literally be John Paul II but a clone which is part of the great deception scripture speaks of. I believe the identity of this entity to be the demonic king of the bottomless pit spoken of in Rev.9:11. His name is Abaddon. I believe he (Abaddon) will ascend from the bottomless pit masquerading as the likeness of John Paul II and also become indwelled by Satan as per God's word.
Will he literally and figuratively rise out of the sea? It appears that the bottomless pit is below the sea because God says this beast will rise from the sea. So one can only assume that that is where the bottomless pit is. And figuratively he comes from the "see" because the Vatican is officially called "The Holy See". So he will rise from that "see" as well.
Does the seven heads, ten horns, ten crowns passage now make sense? Yes
Does the wounding of one of the seven heads now make sense? Yes
Pope John Paul II the sixth king of the Vatican State was shot and mortally wounded but survived his wounds just as scripture had foretold.
What about the blasphemous name that each of the seven heads carry? We now know that the heads represent kings and we know now that these seven kings represent seven popes. Is there a blasphemous name that all these seven popes carried? Yes In the Roman Catholic Church all popes are called the "Vicar of Christ on Earth" meaning that they assume the power and authority of Christ here on earth and are infallible in their edicts whatever they might be. This is complete and utter blasphemy just as Rev.13:1 states.
What about the verse that states that this first beast was like a leopard, had feet like a bear and a mouth like a lion......can I explain that to you? No I can't. If there are any Doves with spiritual knowledge of this please help me out.
There is one more falsehood that needs addressing.........the reign of this first beast the antichrist. It is not 42 months or three and one half years. I repeat it is not 42 months. Another deception that has been propagated by Satan. Rev.13:5 states that after this beast comes he is given or assumes great oratory skills speaking great things and great blasphemies. (I can't prove this but I believe he will be able to speak multiple languages like the early apostles did or speak a language that all will somehow understand) And it says that he will continue this for 42 months. I believe that this beast will appear on the world stage immediately after the rapture of the church. The whole world will be in chaos and he will step forward with his answers as to what has just transpired in the rapture. With his Satan filled ability to manifest great signs and wonders (supposed miracles) he along with his great oratory skills will calm the planet. He will propose a 7 year plan to bring the world back to peace and safety and economic stability which equals the new world order of a one world religion, a one world currency and a one world government. He will be working behind the scenes these first 42 months consolidating his power and his grand deception along with the second beast and the ten kings (ten horns) he will give power to. To reiterate again this will take him 42 months.
Okay, now lets go on to the very next word of the next verse.....verse 6.....The verse starts in my New King James version with the word "then" or the original King James version with the word "and". Either way it's the same meaning because when you use "and" to start a sentence it means then.
So we know 42 months had transpired to the end of verse 5. Then starting in verse 6 after the beast has spent 42 months smoozing the planet and consolidating his power he turns into a monster for the remaining time of the 7 year tribulation period. What does he do then or next?
We see in Rev.13:6,7,8....
6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blasphemy His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. ( the beast then after 42 months declares himself to be the one true God and has come to earth to establish his kingdom)
7) It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue and nation.( the reign of the two witness runs concurrently with the first 42 months of the beast. No one was able to harm the two witnesses or they would be toasted like a marshmallow. All this changes at the 42 month time frame, it's the end of the two witnesses ministry and now God has granted the first beast the power to kill / overcome the two witnesses. This is how the beast proves to the world that he is God by killing those who no one else could kill)
8) All who dwell on earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
So after declaring himself to be the true God and killing the two witnesses to prove it...... the beast gains authority over the whole planet. And his horrible reign runs in addition to the first 42 months for some duration totaling less than 7 years. Not sure how long that duration is because God had to cut the full seven years short or no life would have survived on the planet. I am assuming that it was at least 3+ more years in addition to the initial 42 months the earth is to suffer under the reign of the beasts and Satan before Christ's second return.
There's a lot more but enough for today.......I truly hope that this viewing of God's Word from Rev.13 and 17 has made things clearer for you concerning the identity of the first beast who mankind calls the antichrist who will deceive millions. Millions are already deceived into believing it's Obama as the antichrist and the main deception show hasn't even gotten started yet.

Concerning the time after the First-Trump Rapture, Rev 13:11,12 says, "And I beheld another (allos, different) beast (therion, a dangerous, venomous, wild beast, i.e., Satan) coming up out of the earth (he was cast out of Heaven into the Earth in Rev. 12); and he had two horns (two comings to power, in Judas Iscariot and the False Prophet) like a lamb (like Christ has two Advents), and he (i.e., Satan, who comes up out of the Earth and enters into the False Prophet) spake as a dragon (because the False Prophet is Satan-possessed). 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast (the Antichrist, the Pope) before (enopion, in the presence of) him (the Pope), and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast (the Pope), whose deadly wound was healed."
In Mat_7:15, Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets (plural), which come to you in sheep's clothing (i.e., wool), but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
In Mat_10:16 Jesus said, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
The Pope's badge of office is the lamb's-wool pallium, the symbol of the jurisdiction delegated to him by the Apostolic See. It is bestowed upon the Pope by the Apostolic See at the time of his coronation. I put pictures above of Pope John Paul and Pope Benedict wearing their lamb's-wool palliums. There are crosses on them.
2Th 2:3-12 says, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (i.e., the Day of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away (apostacia, a DEPARTING, i.e., a Rapture) FIRST, and that man of sin (the False Prophet) be revealed (i.e., after the first Rapture), the son of perdition (he will be Satan-possessed); 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God (i.e., after the First-Trump Rapture). 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what (i.e., the Holy Spirit) withholdeth that he (the False Prophet) might be revealed in his time (i.e., after the First-Trump Rapture). 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he (the Holy Spirit) who now letteth (katecho, to hold down) will let (hold down), until he be taken out of the way (i.e., the Holy Spirit's restraining influence will be taken away at the time of the First-Trump Rapture). 8 And then shall that Wicked (i.e., the False Prophet) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them (those that perish) strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
Rev 12:7-12 says, "AND THERE WAS WAR IN HEAVEN: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; NEITHER WAS THEIR PLACE FOUND ANY MORE IN HEAVEN. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world: HE WAS CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, YE HEAVENS, and ye (i.e., those that were caught up in the First-Trump Rapture) that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (i.e., the shortened Great Tribulation).

Who is the first beast who mankind has nicknamed the antichrist?
Let's not speculate who we (mankind) think this entity will be but lets rely only on God's Word and God's descriptions as to the identity of this first beast. God has told us very clearly through His Word who this first beast will be and Barak Obama doesn't even come close to fulfilling God's description. Please read on for the identity of the antichrist.
The average person gets confused and frustrated immediately with the description John the apostle wrote concerning the first beast in Rev.13. They want to throw in the towel as to the identity of this beast after reading the bizarre characteristics God through John uses to describe this beast.
God doesn't want us to throw in the towel but to continue to read the verses in Revelation 17 and elsewhere where He makes things much clearer and interprets these bizarre characteristics. God challenges us to figure out who this beast is by saying....."here is the mind that has wisdom" or, is there anyone out there that is willing dedicate enough time reading My Word to discern the identity of this beast?
First let's list these descriptions or clues to the identity of the first beast (the antichrist) that show up in Rev.13..........
1) This beast rises up out of the sea (literally and figuratively)
2) This beast has seven heads and ten horns and on his horns ten crowns (figuratively)
3) On each of the seven heads is a blasphemous name (figuratively)
4) This beast had the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion (figuratively)
5) John saw one of his seven heads as if it had been mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed (literally)
6) The dragon / Satan gave this beast his power, his throne, and his authority (literally)
7) The whole world marveled at the power of the beast, so they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast and they worshiped the beast (literally)
8) The beast was given great oratory skills speaking great things and also speaking great blasphemies. He was given authority to continue these blasphemies and "smooze" the world with his oratory skills for 42 months or three and one half years. (literally)
9) And / then after 42 months had transpired he opened his mouth and directly blasphemed God, God's Holy name, God's tabernacle, and those who live in heaven (in other words at this point he, the first beast, declared himself to be the one true God)
10) It was then (at the 42 month mark) granted him (from God) to make war with the saints (the two witnesses) and overcome them (he, the first beast) was allowed to kill the two witnesses at this point to prove to the world he was indeed the true God. (For prior to this, in the 42 month ministry of the two witnesses no one was able to injure them)
11) At this time(at the 42 month mark) he was given authority(for the remainder of the 7 year tribulation period) over every tribe, tongue and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
In Rev.17 God clears up the strange descriptions from Rev.13 and revels to us.........
1) that this beast with seven heads and ten horns is directly affiliated or joined with a worldwide organization depicted as drunken harlot woman
2) that the seven heads of this beast represent seven kings but not any seven kings but seven kings affiliated with this worldwide organization of the drunken harlot woman
3) that this woman / worldwide organization is also a great city located on seven mountains or seven hills
4) that all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich attending to the luxury of her lifestyle
5) that this woman / organization adorns (dresses) herself primarily in purple and scarlet, adorns herself with gold, precious stones and pearls and has in her hand a golden cup (chalice) full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
6) that this organization was drunkenly responsible for the deaths of Jesus' followers (untold millions of them in the Middle Ages)
7) that this organization can be linked to merchants of the earth selling it.......gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of precious wood, bronze,iron and marble, and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and flour, fine flour and wheat cattle and sheep, horses and chariots and the bodies and souls of men
8) that one of these seven kings that has been affiliated with this worldwide organization will be the first beast or the antichrist. This beast, this entity, who was alive and a king of this organization, died and will ascend from the bottomless pit to accomplish his evil mission and return to perdition
9) that when John the revelator had his vision of these seven kings of this organization five of them were already dead. The one John was focused on in his vision the sixth was alive but died. The seventh king will reign for a relatively short time. The eighth king who was one of the seven (the sixth) will become the first beast, the antichrist.
10) that the ten horns of the beast represent 10 kings who as yet have no kingdom but will be crowned kings under the reign of the antichrist to do his bidding. They will make war with Jesus and he will defeat them.
11) that the drunken harlot woman not only represents a worldwide organization but also a city built on seven mountains/ hills that will be the world headquarters of the antichrist during his reign over the kings of the earth.
Let's also clear up some other muddy water. Popular belief (put forth by Satan) is that the antichrist is shot in the head, killed, and then miraculously comes back to life. Millions of people have bought this lie and are waiting for this to happen and it's no where near the truth. The related scripture (Rev.13:3) says......"And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed." From Rev.17 God told us that the heads represent kings. So the right interpretation is .........And I saw one of the kings "as if" (looking like) he had been mortally wounded, and his wound that could have proved deadly, was not, and healed.
Has this prophecy of the wounded king already happened and was it the correct king as per God's word?? The answer is yes and yes. John the revelator was focused on the sixth king in Rev.17:10 who would also become the eighth king and the antichrist. Was this king mortally wounded and survived? Yes
I guess it's time to formally introduce these seven kings that represent the seven heads of the beast. These seven kings as we learned above are joined to a worldwide organization which God described in great detail above. As you may have logically concluded by now that organization can be none other than the Roman Catholic Church. A person would be hard pressed to describe the RCC it's location and attributes better than John the revelator did in 90AD before there even was a RCC when he wrote Revelation 17.
At this point people are going to say this can't be right because the Roman Catholic Church is ruled by popes not kings and there have been many more than seven popes over the centuries. What people don't realize is that the RCC the Vatican did not become its own country until 1929. Prior to that the popes ruled the RCC but were not kings. Now since 1929, they hold the title of pope and king of their own country. And yes you guessed it, there have been seven popes / kings of the Vatican State since 1929. The current pope is the seventh and the next pope will be the eighth....becoming the first beast or as we call him the antichrist. John the revelator indicated that the king / pope he was focused on, the sixth, was alive, he died, and is himself also the eighth, one of the seven and will go to perdition.
So who was this sixth pope / king who a likeness of will ascend from the bottomless pit..... be indwelled by Satan.......manifest great lying signs and wonders........exhibit extraordinary oratory skills.........smooze the planet for three and one half years building his alliances with the ten kings to come.........then terrorize the planet for the remainder of the seven year trib period?
The most beloved pope of all whose worldwide ecumenical movement laid the groundwork for a one world religion........John Paul II
God tells us in Rev.13 and Rev.17 that the whole world will marvel (be dumbfounded and speechless) when they see this person (John Paul II) who was alive, died, and yet is seemingly alive again. Rev.17:8
Not to say that this will literally be John Paul II but a clone which is part of the great deception scripture speaks of. I believe the identity of this entity to be the demonic king of the bottomless pit spoken of in Rev.9:11. His name is Abaddon. I believe he (Abaddon) will ascend from the bottomless pit masquerading as the likeness of John Paul II and also become indwelled by Satan as per God's word.
Will he literally and figuratively rise out of the sea? It appears that the bottomless pit is below the sea because God says this beast will rise from the sea. So one can only assume that that is where the bottomless pit is. And figuratively he comes from the "see" because the Vatican is officially called "The Holy See". So he will rise from that "see" as well.
Does the seven heads, ten horns, ten crowns passage now make sense? Yes
Does the wounding of one of the seven heads now make sense? Yes
Pope John Paul II the sixth king of the Vatican State was shot and mortally wounded but survived his wounds just as scripture had foretold.
What about the blasphemous name that each of the seven heads carry? We now know that the heads represent kings and we know now that these seven kings represent seven popes. Is there a blasphemous name that all these seven popes carried? Yes In the Roman Catholic Church all popes are called the "Vicar of Christ on Earth" meaning that they assume the power and authority of Christ here on earth and are infallible in their edicts whatever they might be. This is complete and utter blasphemy just as Rev.13:1 states.
What about the verse that states that this first beast was like a leopard, had feet like a bear and a mouth like a lion......can I explain that to you? No I can't. If there are any Doves with spiritual knowledge of this please help me out.
There is one more falsehood that needs addressing.........the reign of this first beast the antichrist. It is not 42 months or three and one half years. I repeat it is not 42 months. Another deception that has been propagated by Satan. Rev.13:5 states that after this beast comes he is given or assumes great oratory skills speaking great things and great blasphemies. (I can't prove this but I believe he will be able to speak multiple languages like the early apostles did or speak a language that all will somehow understand) And it says that he will continue this for 42 months. I believe that this beast will appear on the world stage immediately after the rapture of the church. The whole world will be in chaos and he will step forward with his answers as to what has just transpired in the rapture. With his Satan filled ability to manifest great signs and wonders (supposed miracles) he along with his great oratory skills will calm the planet. He will propose a 7 year plan to bring the world back to peace and safety and economic stability which equals the new world order of a one world religion, a one world currency and a one world government. He will be working behind the scenes these first 42 months consolidating his power and his grand deception along with the second beast and the ten kings (ten horns) he will give power to. To reiterate again this will take him 42 months.
Okay, now lets go on to the very next word of the next verse.....verse 6.....The verse starts in my New King James version with the word "then" or the original King James version with the word "and". Either way it's the same meaning because when you use "and" to start a sentence it means then.
So we know 42 months had transpired to the end of verse 5. Then starting in verse 6 after the beast has spent 42 months smoozing the planet and consolidating his power he turns into a monster for the remaining time of the 7 year tribulation period. What does he do then or next?
We see in Rev.13:6,7,8....
6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blasphemy His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. ( the beast then after 42 months declares himself to be the one true God and has come to earth to establish his kingdom)
7) It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue and nation.( the reign of the two witness runs concurrently with the first 42 months of the beast. No one was able to harm the two witnesses or they would be toasted like a marshmallow. All this changes at the 42 month time frame, it's the end of the two witnesses ministry and now God has granted the first beast the power to kill / overcome the two witnesses. This is how the beast proves to the world that he is God by killing those who no one else could kill)
8) All who dwell on earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
So after declaring himself to be the true God and killing the two witnesses to prove it...... the beast gains authority over the whole planet. And his horrible reign runs in addition to the first 42 months for some duration totaling less than 7 years. Not sure how long that duration is because God had to cut the full seven years short or no life would have survived on the planet. I am assuming that it was at least 3+ more years in addition to the initial 42 months the earth is to suffer under the reign of the beasts and Satan before Christ's second return.
There's a lot more but enough for today.......I truly hope that this viewing of God's Word from Rev.13 and 17 has made things clearer for you concerning the identity of the first beast who mankind calls the antichrist who will deceive millions. Millions are already deceived into believing it's Obama as the antichrist and the main deception show hasn't even gotten started yet.
