"Re: Frank Molver's Video Games, Mental Illness, Mass Murder"

Frank, your post brought this to my remembrance...Ronnie Zamora, 15, was convicted of first degree murder in 1977 for killing an elderly neighbor while he was robbing her home.  His failed defense...television intoxication.

The jury didn't buy it -- and neither did I -- but maybe we, as a society, should have considered it a bit more closely.  Our "entertainment" has gotten much more violent and perverse since those days.

I believe our society as a whole has inured itself to violence and other satanic influences.  It's in our TV shows, movies, music, video games.  It's hard to shield ourselves from it.  Our society has been feeding our kids this sewage for how long?  Two generations?

Look at the "Zombie" phenomenon.  Harmless entertainment?  Several real-life cases are documented in the mainstream media.  The same can be said for Vampirism.  The point is, what is presented as "entertainment" is manifesting in real life.  If you think these two examples are extreme or rare, let's look at "old-fashioned" violence.  I don't know about you, but I can't turn on the nightly news without hearing about a murder, rape or some other violent crime somewhere within an hour's drive of my home.  And that's stretching it.

What have we done?  We took God out of our society and let Him be replaced with what is called "entertainment".  It's no wonder our society is breeding evil upon evil upon evil.  We are simply reaping what we have sown.

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
