"Re: Rene's Statement
on Disinterested Christians"
Hi John and Rene,
I cannot be silent after reading your response to Charles today,
Rene. I have just had exactly the same experience that you
describe. I went to my Bible Study group today in a church
that I have loved, however, I am viewed as an oddity in my love
for the Lord's return.
In Sunday's sermon, our pastor ( who is highly regarded in the
Christian community) could have added just a sentence so easily
to his topic on the Lord's return. However, after the Lord
did not return in 2000 as he had expected, he has become silent
on the topic.
In my Bible study today, in a group of intelligent, committed
Christians, I brought up the book "The Harbinger" and said that
it was a riveting read. The woman leading the group, who
has not read the book, said that a friend had become paranoid
after reading it about doom and gloom and that after all, Jesus
might not return for 10,000 years. I commented that the
Lord's return is likened to a birth and that no birth takes
10,000 years.
There are one or two who are open but I fear that it gives me
further cause to think that the Bride of Christ will be raptured
first. When I said that we are commanded to watch, and
that we receive one of only five crowns mentioned in scripture
for loving His appearing, all that I received were blank stares.
In one of my dream visions posted by John on the entry point to
the site, the Lord and I were walking on the beach, deeply
saddened by what we were leaving behind on earth, but then we
were drawn to the joy ahead for eternity. I feel strongly
that we have now reached that point.
Those dream visions have remained exactly true, down to the
point of my CEO son's status in the dream...the Lord returned at
precisely the point he is right now in his life and business.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!!
Loving you all and soon to see you face to face...Rene and Jean
S....I love your posts and always look forward to them...
