Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

This verse cannot be talking off an object passing by the earth, for both Heaven and earth cannot pass (fly by) the earth.

Jesus is referring to:

Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Just as shore as heaven and earth shall pass away, is how sure that His words are forever.

If the stronger light of the sun cannot be seen through thick volcanic ash, then how could the lesser light of the moon be seen through it?
A solar eclipse can cause the sun to be darkened and the moon to be seen as red.
