"RE: Nicole "Text Message from a friend I got""

Nicole, I hear you. I'm dealing with the same thing. My husband thinks I have totally lost my mind. It makes for a very lonely marriage. My husband doesn't have a religious bone in his body. I bought him a Bible but he doesn't read it. He has gone with me to church but told me his heart wasn't in it. I feel a bit betrayed because I think he talks to his family about how nuts he thinks I am. At least we share the same opinion about Obama. My closest friend has told me that I sound paranoid and she voted for Obama. She tells me that I think I am "holier than thou" because I am trying to get her to go to church and read her Bible. These days, I am trying to get anyone I know, to go to church and read their Bibles. My sister refused medical care for my mother, because she thinks my judgment is off, because I believe a world war is coming soon. She is still refusing for my mother to change doctors and my mother is in need of care which she is not getting from her current doctor, who doesn't listen to her.  I am a former nurse and know my mother needs to be seen by someone who knows what they are doing. Plus she is having symptoms of a TIA or Stroke that have not been addressed. My political beliefs and religious discernment should have nothing to do with my mother's medical care.
My husband blames everything on the internet. He thinks I am reading all of this "way out stuff" on the internet. But actually, it was in books and on tv that I first heard that Jesus is returning soon. There was a book called "23 minutes in Hell" by Bill Wiese that says on the back cover, "tell then I am coming very very soon." It was published in 2007.
My husband recently told me that I was doing better lately. I thought he meant my physical health, as I was in the hospital 2 months ago and almost died due to doctor malpractice. But he meant that I hadn't mentioned the rapture or tribulation for a while, so that was his idea of doing better. For my recent medical condition, Addison's Disease and adrenal crisis, I am treated with massive amounts of steroids so my sister was blaming that for my "crazy" beliefs.
They say that there is a crown for watchers. In the past I didn't think that being a watcher was so hard. Not like being a martyr or soul winner or something. But now I don't know. Everyone laughed at Noah when he built the ark. I told my husband he is a scoffer and the Bible talks about scoffers in II Peter 3:3 and he doesn't deny it. He almost had me convinced recently that I really was crazy. But we live in a world that has just reelected Obama as president. Now in my book, THAT is crazy.
