My dear Brother,
I was in no way facetious when I wrote to you. I was amazed with your letter and excited about its contents. Since you were bringing out all those wonderful types, pictures, and prophecies about the relationship between the LORD Jesus and his bride, I only wanted to encourage you to consider the same exciting study coupled with the Song of Solomon, which I believe also shows the LORD Jesus and his bride.
Then, when I read your letter this morning, it took my breath away. You seem to have such a wonderful relationship with his word, and thereby with him. The power, the beauty, and the joy of the LORD that you must experience, as you approach his word the way that you do. I could not stop thinking about what you wrote, especially while I was praying. I could be wrong, but I was so strongly convinced that there must be times that when you are singing his word back to him in worship, that he joins you in singing the same thing. He, after all, is the one who inspired David to sing and to write what he did. If I’m wrong, please forgive me. However, the thought of you singing the LORD’s words back to him, and he in joy, coming to be close with you, to sing his words along with you – I cannot fathom something so beautiful and wonderful, only a glimpse of a whisper of a shadow – it must be such a joyous time.
I’m so happy for you!!!
