Frank,

             I was reading your letter to Danny, and I was astounded. I completely missed what you saw.

Sure, I really hope that it isn’t so with him. Yet, you perceived something that I was unable to.

I do thank the LORD that he has given you this particular gift.

Clearly Danny is hurting very badly, and you are the only one so far that is reaching out to help him.

I had read the exact same words as you did, and understood things so differently.

The first time I read his letter, I saw all of it only in the context of forgiving or not forgiving, thus missing so much.

The second time I read his letter, suddenly I was gripped by how much pain and hurt are in those words.

The first time I only saw it in a legal context, and the second time only in an emotional context.

Yet, with those two things, I was unable to really answer him, or to offer any hope.

You, on the other hand, clearly saw it all in the spiritual context, rather than the emotional.
