Noah’s Lonely Dove and Thanks to John and Five Doves
As we near the end of 2012 there are three things that I would like to do: thank John Tng (and contributors) for Five Doves, highlight how close we are to the climax of the ages and also highlight how close we are to the top of our mountain of the Rapture - ever resting in the joy of His Presence! (for this third one I have reproduced a letter I sent to Five Doves in January 2008).
Noah’s Lonely Dove - Five Doves as a Help in Our Loneliness
Noah sent out the dove a third time on day 27 of the 11th month and the dove did not return. The animals and birds came out of Noah’s Ark on day 27 of the 2nd month the following year. We can only assume that the (probably male) dove endured 90 days of loneliness before being reunited and rejoicing with the female dove. I do not have any real revelation on this time of loneliness, but what I would like to share is the loneliness that many of us feel as we wait for the Rapture. Like most Doves, I have many Christian friends but only a small number with whom I can share with passion and depth about the Lord’s imminent return.
Fives Doves has filled this void, providing a way of fellowshipping with others around the world. We are passionate about the Rapture because we are passionate about Jesus’ first coming and His dying on the cross for us. Five Doves is, and has been for several years, my main port of call, and links to other websites and information enhances the richness of Five Doves. My (very rough) estimate is that there are around 15000 letters on Five Doves annually (based on 60 per day, six days a week - quite mind boggling!). John would know more reliably! I can only thank John Tng for this excellent website and the many contributors who have spread a table of rich revelation, thoughts and prophetic words before us. And we should not forget the countless lurkers, myself often, who find fellowship with those who we have not seen, but who have a love for His appearing. We are far less lonely because of Five Doves!
We may have overlooked some important changes this year, such as the development and/or enhancement of other Rapture websites (for example, the Rapture Bible Prophecy Forum), the timeliness of (often You Tube video) comments on recent news and the rich visual content and quality of information. There have been many wonderful contributions and all contributors need to be thanked, including the mathematicians (like Bob Ware and others who provide ongoing insights). The highly visual work of Renee M and Luis Vega’s charts have been among these, but insights from so many have been richly appreciated.
For me, my ongoing reading of the best 66 books in the world and revelations from other watching Christians has helped to put in place some important parts of the mosaic leading to the Rapture. We are on the threshold of a rapid unveiling of God’s Eternal purposes, and those of us who have been daily watching will see these events unfold and will walk in the light (that is, understand what is going on), whereas many will be caught out, as Jesus warned in Luke 21:35:
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
The Climax of the Ages
10 [He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth. (Ephesians 1:10 Amplified)
While we may have been patient in waiting for the Rapture, we need to see this in the perspective of God’s dealing with this world throughout the ages! I have a book titled the Timechart of Biblical History - incredible details of events throughout the Bible, printed on both sides. Allowing for both sides, these charts are around 10 metres long!! When you look at this you can but wonder How Great Thou Art, and how great will be the climax of the ages that is now appearing on the horizon, as many timelines converge around Israel, the Church and the World!
Mount Everest (January 2008)
I would like to share a few thoughts about three mountains that I hope will be encouraging to those who are earnestly waiting for His Return.
Mount Everest: at the top is the closest man can be to heaven (by physically climbing!). I find it interesting that the name of the world’s highest mountain is Everest! When He comes to take us to be with Himself that is what we will do - ever rest in His Presence, enjoying the pleasures for evermore at His right hand. On 29 May 1953 Edmund Hillary and (Sherpa) Tenzig Norgay reached the top of Everest. The death of Edmund Hillary on 11 January 2008 is a timely reminder of this achievement. News of the success by a British expedition (even though Hillary was a New Zealander) reached England on (or just before) the day of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation - one of England’s finest moments. How the glory of the Empire has faded and England is now becoming subsumed within the European Community, the Antichrist Kingdom ‘not like any other kingdom’ (formed on economic not military power).
Mont Blanc: the unveiling. In June 2003 I travelled to Geneva with my work and had the opportunity to go to Mont Blanc. I would like to share an experience that reflects where we are at in God’s unfolding purposes. At the lookout close to the top of Mont Blanc we were surrounded by cloud - we could see the snow, but not in its full glory. Then the cloud cleared and the sun shining on the snow was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. We see His purposes through a glass darkly, but for those watching for His return He is burning off the cloud so that, in His Word and through His judgments and the outpouring of His Spirit we will see the unfolding and resplendent glory of His coming. A little while ago I parked my car looking across water as the sun set behind a mountain, with glorious rays. The Holy City was playing loud on the tape and I caught a glimpse of the glory to come.
Mount Wellington (Hobart, Tasmania): this mountain is often snow covered and on the road up, near the top, there are high (marker) posts to show the depth of the snow. As we edge ever closer to the Rapture the warning posts get ‘higher’ and 2007 was a pivotal year, peaking in Annapolis. They are about to go off the scale, as we witness the demise of the United States economy (with more to come). Possible rapture dates may come and go, but we know that we are nearing the top of Everest - do not look back, or down, or question why (some of these were markers to help us get to where we are) - look up, watch the signs for our redemption is drawing nigh! It is imminent!
