Charles,
When I read your posts I am so sad for your turmoil.  I hope to encourage you to cast all your burdens unto Jesus.   God has been showing my bible study group some scripture.  The one from yesterday esp. would apply for you.  Isaiah 26:18     God wants you to know Charles, that he sees your vain attempts and he will honor them.  His word will not return void.  You cry out to him for your friends, relatives and co-workers.  He wants you to know that he sees what you are doing and he will honor your prayers.  GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES!  You will see these people saved.  Not by your might, but by HIS.  He is going to do a new thing.  I don't think for a minute that we will go out of here with our heads hung in shame.  He is going to do something to jar our families awake.  He is calling us to LOVE them.  He understands the earth and what we are up against and that we are giving birth to the wind.  He wants you to relax and TRUST HIM, not yourself.  He wants to release you from the burden of feeling that YOU are the one who saves, when in fact it is HE.  For a long time my unsaved husband would say to me "That's not very Christian".  I used to believe with all my heart that if I could just be a "good" little Christian, then he would want to be one too.  I believed if he saw me attain victory over certain areas of my life, he would want Christ also.  HOW PRIDEFULLY PRESUMPTUOUS OF ME!  I had to repent of that pridefulness.  Jesus saves, not me!  After I realized that, one day my husband said his taunt and I looked at him and said "I have nothing to do with your relationship with God, It's all between you and him".  That was the end of that battle!
The Lord wants you to sit back and wait for him and LOVE his lost sheep.  When you strive you end up discouraged.   REST in the fact that GOD HAS IT UNDER CONTROL!  The question is, do you trust him with the salvation of your loved ones???

I am praying for your release from this false burden.  His yoke is easy, His burden light.  If you are feeling this much burden, you know it's not from the Lord.  It's a false burden from the pit of HELL.  When you have done all that you can do Charles, he tells us to just STAND.  Just love them and wait on him.  Sprinkle some salt and light when we can, but don't walk around with a giant God club waiting to thump people with it!

Sorry if this sounds random and poorly written.  I just went as He lead me.

See you soon brother,

Deborah
