Psalm 84
1 How lovely is thy dwelling-place,
O,
JEHOVAH, to me!
The tabernacles of thy grace
how
pleasant, Lord, they be!
(God is building His own Temple, His own Tabernacle,
with His own hands[like Abraham awaited], using these"lively
stones" as the building blocks. We are that temple and the
new Jerusalem will be fitly formed of the various believers
that have "not loved their lives unto death", and "how
beautiful are the feet of them", this is grace and beauty
unto the Lord and a sight to behold for our God, for our
Lord desires greatly to behold her beauty)
2 My thirsty soul longs veh'mently,
yea
faints, thy courts to see:
My very heart and flesh cry out,
O
living God, for thee.
(Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband.)
3 Behold, the sparrow findeth out
an
house wherein to rest;
The swallow also for herself
has
purchased there a nest;
(many have found their way into the grace that is
afforded the "Temple of God" here on earth, and many have
bought their way into the gracious blessings of our
savior...some unrefined and unwilling to suffer along with
their Lord and savior, but still, God lets them have a home
in the temple for a time)
In thine own altars,* where she
safe
her
young ones forth may bring,
O thou almighty Jehovah,
who
art my God and King.
(many daughters of Jerusalem have profaned her
tabernacles and her timbers, yet God the Father of all, in
Hid GRACE, has shown Himself loving and patient with all)
------------------------------------------------------
4 Bless'd are they in thy house that
dwell,
they
ever give thee praise.
5 Bless'd is the man whose strength thou
art,
in
whose heart are thy ways:
(this is the mark of one who TRUSTS in the Lord:
"Rejoicing Praise" and a heart dedicated to walk in the ways
of Christ Jesus.)
6 Who passing there through Baca's vale,
therein do dig up wells;
Also the rain that falleth down
the
pools with water fills.
(though even having gone through trials and
difficulties[much tribulation], still look for and find the
"water of life" , and, God blesses them with "the washing of
the water of the WORD")
7 So they from strength unwearied go
still
forward unto strength,
Until in Sion they appear
before the Lord at length.
(FAITH is the victory and the Lord is our stregnth and
with that we will move forward, no matter how afflicted, no
matter how difficult, "Rejoicing in His name", until we
finally get to "appear" before Him. Luk 21:36 Watch ye
therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand
before the Son of man.)
8 O, JEHOVAH, my prayer hear;
O
Jacob's God, give ear.
9 See God, our shield, look on the face
of
thine anointed dear.
(when God looks upon the children of FAITH, He only
sees the face of His beloved Son, Yeshuah)
-------------------------------------------------------
10 For in thy courts one day excels
a
thousand; rather in
In God's house will I keep a door,
than
dwell in tents of sin.
(We are God's "house" and I will keep within me "the door",
Christ Jesus is "the door" and avoid anything else)
11 For God the Lord's a sun and shield:
he'll
grace and glory give;
And will withhold no good from them
that
uprightly do live.
(all Spiritual blessings do belong to the children of
HOPE, the progeny of Christ, and the natural outcome of our
FAITH will be upright living)
12 O thou that art the Lord of hosts,
that
man is truly blest,
Who by assured confidence
on
thee alone doth rest.
(Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in
him: and, I will maintain mine own ways before him.)
And in thy rest does enter in
to
God's sanctuary,
there dwelling in Yeshuah's
grace
for
all eternity.
(entering into God's rest means ceasing from your own
works, and dwelling in FAITH and TRUST and HOPE of His soon
return, but until then...REJOICE!)
