"Gino: ? on false
teacher"
Hi Gino,
I teach a lot. One rule of thumb I use is I back up
everything with scriptures and passages - coupled - with my
experience.
I do not teach anything I do not understand thoroughly or is
controversial such as praying in tongues. If a person
prays in tongues, good. If he/she does not that's ok
too.
I stick to the scriptures and my experience. Another
example, if I have never experienced the power of the Blood of
Jesus, how would I be able to convince someone of it's wonder
working power?
Finally, I try to be sensitive to the spiritual and emotional
place the person is in.
Does the person need milk or meat?
I also do my best to avoid arguments. Sometimes silence
is golden.
I have made plenty of mistakes teaching but that does not make
me a false teacher. As we grow in Christ, His Holy
Spirit enlightens us, gives us Wisdom and Revelation to teach
and to share the Gospel.
Hope I have been some help to you.
Blessings!
