"Another Dream Last
Night"
Last night I had another dream.
In this one I was in a town that was dusty and dry. A
group of people (me included) went into this building that
reminded me of an old school house. There were no pews,
but chairs arranged all facing towards the front of this one
room structure. Everyone was wearing white cloths, but
they were not pure white or robes.
I don't remember the content, but there was a service.
While not frighten, we all were trying to be quiet so not to
draw attention to ourselves from any individual outside the
building. The word would be cautious. At the end of
the service we started singing "Amazing Grace". In about
the middle of the last verse, a large (more like huge in
stature) black man with an angelic smile got up and walked to
the front of the room.
At the end of our song, he began singing "Amazing Grace", but
with lyrics no one else in the room knew. So the rest of
us just started to hum along with him. He had a very
powerful (and beautiful) voice and while the rest of us hummed
we were all smiling. I got up and walked to the window to
see if we were being noticed.
With my head leaning up against the corner of the glass window
(no stained glass in this building or organ), the man was
starting another verse and everyone continued to hum including
me. Outside on the side of the building I could see a
crowd which I thought was large for this size community, had
gathered. Everyone was in white (not robes).
Sprinkled throughout the crowd were individuals who know the new
lyrics and were singing along. They all appeared to be
taller than anyone else and very muscular, like the man leading
our small group. Other people in the crowd were humming,
some smiling and many weeping.
I looked back at the people inside our building and their smiles
had turned angelic. I was smiling too, but I don't know if
my smile was angelic. End of dream.
I do not remember the new lyrics, but when I awoke, I had been
crying in my sleep. I often sleep on my side with one hand
tucked under my head; my forearm and pillow side cheek were wet
and tears were still rolling down.
This is very unusual for me - if I do dream I do not normally
remember anything. Only once before some months ago.
