I started off in life as a
programmer and systems analyst way back in 1965. We were
pioneers. It was the wild west. The perpetual challenge was
to make whatever you were doing FIT in 32k of RAM (yes, I
said 32k of RAM) and similarly restricted disk space. Forget
elegance. Forget nice to have. Forget speed. Just make it
fit.
We were perfectly aware at
the time that the date routines would fail when the year
2000 rolled around. In fact, it was an in house joke. Did we
know how to fix it then? Yes. Did we have capacity and time
to make it fit? No. Quick and dirty solutions always
prevailed.
And most importantly, were
any of us in our wildest imaginings able to conceive that
the routines we were creating then WOULD STILL BE IN USE
when 2000 arrived? NO!
So, 2000 certainly freaked a
lot of people out.

I'd like to think that the Mayans are NOT as Prophectic as the Lord God !! thus......could this be a big DUD like Y2K??
I'm betting on Israel going after Iran and (hopefully) the Rapture....ALL happening by late May 2013..... IF in fact, the Jewish Year 5773 IS "the" year of the Rapture..... We shall see.....
