The UK, along with Greece
and Turkey, is a Guarantor power of
the Republic of Cyprus. This status
derives from the Treaty of Guarantee of 1960,
Article II of which obliges the three guarantors
to ‘recognise and guarantee the independence,
territorial integrity, and security of the
Republic of Cyprus. The three also ‘undertake to
prohibit, so far as concern them, any activity aimed at
promoting, directly or indirectly, either
union of Cyprus with any other State or
partition of the Island'.
For its part, according to the Treaty's
Article I, the Republic of Cyprus ‘undertakes
not to participate, in whole or in part, in
any political or economic
union with any State whatsoever.

Israel-Cyprus gas pact
Thursday December 29, 2011
Turkey
aims to pressure Israel into breaking its
pact with Cyprus. The sources said
Turkey may use its
ties with Lebanon
and militant Shiite movement Hezbollah
as a way of exerting pressure on
Israel. The agreement
defines between Cyprus and
Israel the sea border and
delineates an exclusive economic zone
between the two countries, allowing them to
prospect for oil together.
DOHA, Qatar, Oct.

The U.S. Energy
Information Administration reported recently
that Qatar, Iran,
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates
account for 85 percent of the Middle East's
gas production.
Where is Qatar, UAE,
and Saudi Arabia?
Directly across from the
Iranian coastline that contains
the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
Most of the crude exported from Saudi Arabia,
Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq
– together with nearly all the liquefied
natural gas from lead exporter Qatar –
must
slip through the Strait of Hormuz,
a 6.4 km wide shipping channel between Oman
and Iran.
And guess what
else the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait and Qatar have in common?
All of them combined hold
an estimated $2.1 trillion in dollar reserves.
The
decline of American
economic power linked to the
current global recession was implicitly
acknowledged by the World Bank president
Robert Zoellick. "One of the legacies of
this crisis may be a
recognition of changed economic power
relations," he said in Istanbul ahead of
meetings(October 2009) of the IMF and World
Bank.
He was referencing the
Secret Currency Meetings-
Secret meetings have already been held by
finance ministers and central bank governors
in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on
the scheme, which
will mean that oil will no longer be priced
in dollars. (October 2009)

on December 10th 2011? It's pointing
to the "Crafty Counsel" of the

83 war and the insertion of that 'little

Prophet Daniel into Mideast.
One of the synonyms of the
word crafty is the word - calculating.
One definition of the word
calculating -
marked by
prudent analysis or by shrewd
consideration of self-interest.
Lebanon has claimed part
of the largest Israeli gas field,
Leviathan with reserves of 16 trillion
cubic feet, lies in its territorial
waters. It has vowed to prevent Israel
from "looting" Lebanese assets.
Israel, still technically
at war with its neighbor, has threatened
to use force if the Lebanese try to
seize the gas.
