Dear Rowina,
 
Your request for a prayer for discernment touched my spirit and prompted me to write this message to you. You refer to vitamins, minerals and elixirs as being insufficient for your condition. You have a faith that chemotherapy will be successful where these other approaches were not. Your current decision is obvious in your message, to go with chemotherapy.
 
Chemotherapy can work and has provided added years to the lives of many, including my wife Ellie who is still living after receiving chemotherapy some 13 years ago for stage 4 ovarian cancer. I am always thankful to God that we have drugs that can help with cancer.
 
It is not wrong to use the tools that God has given to man in the battle against disease. Cancer is not really a vicious creature that destroy life on purpose, it is simply a group of cells that have lost the ability to die. Not dying, they get in the way of the normal cells and eventually create a massive traffic jam. They need to be assisted in completing their God-given role of living, and dying.
 
As you await your decision regarding chemotherapy, keep positive thoughts in your mind and ask god to help you make the right choices regarding how to proceed. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge God and he shall direct thy paths." (Prov 3:5-6). He will comfort you and support you during this difficult time you are experiencing.
 
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength" Isa 26:3-4
 
Finally, remember his promise given in John 14:13-14 "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." Rowina, you have nothing to worry about or be concerned about. None of us do provided we let the Son know what we need and want for he promised to do it.

PRAYER FOR ROWINA
 
Dear heavenly Father we humbly ask that you look down on Rowina, your faithful servant and believer in your dear son, Jesus, and consider her need at this time for your loving intercession. Let everyone who hears of this matter know by your actions that you are invincible and fully able to save to the uttermost those who place their trust in your loving kindness.
 
Dear Lord Jesus reach your hand down into our world again and save Rowina from suffering and pain and remove the threat of cancer from her life now and ever more. Increase her trust in you and your wonderful Father to the point that you will provide the miracle she needs. Tell the cells in her body to resume the natural course that you designed for them. They need to resume their destiny of dying and revert back to being the normal cells you intended them to be when you created Rowina.
 
I thank you Lord Jesus and your and our dear Father in advance for the concern and activity requested for your humble human creature who depends daily for life from you. May she and we always remember to keep our minds stayed on thee and acknowledge you every day both privately, and publicly when opportunities arise. Dear Lord Jesus, Rowina and others will, I am sure, bring you praise and glory for your help and will never forget that you are her and our best friend and saviour.
